FESTIVAL OF THE SEASONS AT THE GEORGIA AQUARIUMGeorgia Aquarium will be hosting a month of events for the holiday season. Starting in late November, families can visit the aquarium as it turns into a winter wonderland. Guests can view the spectacular Holidazzle light show and 3D projection show, The Sea Around Us, in the atrium every hour. Other daily activities include the holiday entertainment show. SCUBA Clause Holiday Deepo’s Chat and the Underwater Menorah.

HOLIDAY FUN AT THE WORLD OF COCA-COLAIt’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the world of Coca-Cola in Atlanta. The interactive home of Coke launches its holiday celebration now through January 3rd. Guests can enjoy activities like mailing friends personalized letter from the desk of the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, or savoring the season with signature beverages like Gingerbread Coke and Mistletoe Flow. Guests also have the opportunity to learn the real story behind the santa claus image we know and love, originally commissioned by Coca-Cola in the 1930s.

GARDEN LIGHTS IN THE ATLANTA BOTANICAL GARDENReturning for it’s fifth season, this electrical extravaganza features spectacular light displays throughout the garden. 2015 will feature the Tunnel of light along with favorites such as the Orchestral Orbs, Glittering Galaxy and Radiant Rainforest. The Model Trains continue to make the exhibition a must-see holiday tradition, open through January 9th, 2016.

STONE MOUNTAIN CHRISTMASNow through January 3rd, Stone Mountain Park’s Christmas Celebration features activities for kids and adults. Kids will have a chance to meet Santa and Rudolph, and watch Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas in 4-D. The whole family can enjoy wandering through the Wonderland Walkway, a dazzling pathway of lights. Stone Mountain also turns into Snow Mountain during this time of year, where you can frolic across five snowy football fields, build snowmen and careen down the 400-foot hill in a snow tube!

HOLIDAY IN THE PARKWith thrill rides, holiday festivities and more than one million LED lights shining bright, Six Flags over Georgia brings you Holiday in the Park. The new holiday classic will feature festive shows, tasty holiday treats and of course, Santa Claus himself. Guests can take a ride on the North Pole Express to visit Santa at his merry workshop, and also warm up around the fire for S’mores at S’mores village. Holiday in the Park runs select nights from November 21st-January 3rd.

LEGOLAND HOLIDAY BRICKTACULAREvery weekend through December 27th, families are invited to celebrate the merry season with holiday festivities at LEGOLAND. Guests can learn how to create LEGO snowflakes, and experience the winter takeover in MINILAND. The weekend of December 19th and 20th, guests are encouraged to wear their most festive holiday attire for the Holiday Costume Contest - happening both days.

ATLANTA BALLET’S NUTCRACKERThrough December 27th, join Atlanta Ballet as they celebrate their 20th anniversary of the Nutcracker at the Fox Theatre. Music will be performed by the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra.

CHICK-FIL-A PEACH BOWLOne of the country’s most anticipated college bowl games, the Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl creates exciting energy in the Georgia Dome. It is among the most competitive bowl games in the country and leads all other bowl games in charitable and scholarship contributions. The 2015 game will take place December 31st, and will be played by Houston and FSU.

CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK ICE SKATINGCentennial Olympic Park has opened their ice skating rink for another winter season. It is a perfect setting for the family or a group of friends, and you can easily rent skates at the door. Admission is $12.00 a person for a 90 minute session.

CELEBRATION BOWLHappening on December 19th, The Celebration Bowl is a Historically Black Colleges and Universities postseason football game between the MEAC and SWAC champions at the Georgia Dome. Operated by ESPN and televised on ABC, the Celebration Bowl is surrounded by events, parties, and more, and is sure to be a day of epic football. This year, SWAC College Football Champion Alcorn State University faces off against North Carolina A&T State University.
