RULES AND DISQUALIFICATION SHEET, WALLE
GENERAL RULES
1. Please call the coordinator given behind only in case of acute emergency. Constant troubling
will not be of any benefit.
2. The registration number of your team is your identity. Please carry your registration card
issued to you at the registration desk along with you whenever you report for the competition.
The registration desk is present at the entry in the Institute.
3. Please do not litter the campus; smoking in competition venues is strictly prohibited due to
security concerns.
4. Please report at the respective venue at least 10 minutes before the slot time that has beenallotted to you. Failing to do so will lead to the disqualification of your team from the
competition. We are very strict regarding this rule.
5. We can ask you to come to the arena anytime in your respective slot. Make sure that your
machine is ready to run before your slot time. No last minute repairing during your slot time
is allowed.
COMPETITION RULES
Bot Specifications
1. Each team is allowed to have only one bot.2. The bot must fit into a cube of dimensions 200 mm x 200 mm x 200 mm(lxbxh).
3. The bot must use only on-board power supply. No external off-board power supply is allowed.
4. The max voltage difference between any two points must not exceed 24V.
5. The bot must be fully autonomous with all powering and motoring mechanisms self contained.6. Human operators are not permitted to enter any information into the bot during the event. The bot
must not communicate with any wireless device also.
7. The bot must be started by only one switch. However, a team can have a separate switch forrestart.
8. The bot cannot be constructed using ready made Lego kits or any ready made mechanism. But
you can make use of ready made gear assemblies. Violating this clause will lead to the
disqualification of the machine.
Pre-Game Setup
Each team will be allowed a slot of 5 mins to calibrate their machines on a test track. Just before the run,
teams will get a chance to test their machines in the same lighting conditions at a smaller test track besides the main track.

Game ProcedureThere will be 2 rounds. A qualifying round and a final round.
Qualifying Round
1. One run will be given to each team.
2. The maximum time taken to complete the task is 5 minutes.3. The time taken to complete the task will be noted. If at the end of 5 minutes, the bot is not able to
complete the task, then the team will be disqualified.
4. Top 16 teams emerging from this round will qualify for the final round.
Final Round
1. The top 16 teams selected from the qualifying round will compete in this round. It will be a
knockout match.2. Two teams will compete at a time in this round on different arenas of same orientation(same track
and same position of obstacles). The team that completes the task first will be declared as the
winner.
3. The top three teams emerging from this round will be declared as winners.
Rules
1. At the start of the run, the teams will have to keep the bot in the starting position.2. A maximum of 3 restarts will be given to the teams. Everytime a team opts for a restart, the bot
will be restarted by placing the bot back to the starting position.
3. If during a run, the cube (obstacle) gets displaced from its original position, then the team willhave to restart their bot by placing it back into the starting zone.
4. At no point of time, any part of the bot is allowed to cross the checkline. If the bot crosses the
checkline, the team will have to restart the bot by placing it back in the starting zone.
ScoringThe score will be determined as follow -
Score = (300-T)
Where, T = Time taken to complete the task
Disqualification
1. Any bot not conforming to the specifications provided will be instantly disqualified.
2. Any bot which damages the arena will be disqualified.

1. Organisers will not be responsible for any minor scratches left by the previous machines on the
arena.
2. Any team that is not ready at the time specified will be removed from the competitionautomatically.
3. The machines would be checked for their safety before the run and would be discarded if foundunsafe for other participants and spectators.
4. Any machine which damages the arena will be disqualified.
5. Participants should not dismantle their robots before the completion of the whole competition as
the machines might need to be verified by the organisers at a later stage to ensure that theparticipants have not violated any of the rules.
6. Organisers' decision shall be treated as final and binding on all.
7. The organisers reserve the right to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit.
CERTIFICATE POLICY
Certificate of Excellence will be awarded to the top 3 teams. Certificate of Participation will be given to
the top 32 teams.
Disqualified teams will not be considered for any certificates.
