It comes to us via social media, newsfeeds, TV, Radio, and the printed media. With this bombardment comes the perception that we live in such a bad world; sur- rounded by bad people who commit bad acts all the time and we are not safe. It is not until we sit and reflect upon what is happening around us that we realise that bad things are not happen- ing all the time and that for most of the time, good things are having a positive impact upon us. It is easy to focus on the bad things rather than celebrating the positive things. We need to be acutely aware of dangers, and problems that we all face, but we, as adults, should not forget to look for the positives and bring our children a more balanced view of the world – their world. LOOK FOR SOMETHING POSITIVE IN EACH DAY, EVEN IF SOME DAYS YOU HAVE TO LOOK A LITTLE HARDER.” There is a huge difference between asking your child: “What went wrong today?” and “What went well today?” For some reason we find it easier focus on the negative before the positive. This is unfortunate as it gives the perception that everything is wrong and very little is right. Talk to your child about their day. · What were three good things about the day? · Who did they play with? · What did they do during the day? · Did anything happen that you would like to change? School ANZAC Service:

Monday 24th April

As part of the

commemoration, our school will acknowledge

and support the work of ‘Soldier On’.

This organisation supports those who have

served by focusing on their physical and men-

tal health, their family, their community and

their future.

This is an opportunity for school students to

make a connection with veterans. To assist

with this valuable work, we invite all students

to bring coins of 10 cents and above for a

fundraising effort.

On Monday, we will try to make the longest

line possible of coins in the Hall. This will

then be donated to ‘Soldier On’.

Yr 5/6 Students - reminder that the

Conference tomorrow leaves

at 8.30 am sharp.
