Farris speaks to Study Club The delightful Helyn Farris was the featured speaker at the March 13 meeting of the Eagle Lake Study Club. She reviewed some of the new gardening books the library has received and gave an informative talk on gardening methods. Helyn is one of the most dedicated gardners in Eagle Lake. Anyone missing the meeting missed a real treat.

for the future. As a soon-to-be father, such a commitment is more poignant to me than ever.

I'm proud of Eagle Lake and would consider it a priviledge to serve the residents of our city. Eagle Lake is a city of great potential. A great place to live, work and raise a family.

I am not satisfied, however. I be- lieve Eagle Lake can be even better. I am committed to working with citi- zens, civic groups, county, state and national officials to help advance eco- nomic development, improve our thoroughfare and beautify our city.

I understand fully that no one indi- vidual can accomplish all of these things by themselves. I believe that to succeed in making Eagle Lake the quality city that we all seek will de- pend on teamwork and inclusion of each segment of our population.

Eagle Lake has proven time and time again that it's strength is in our citizens. I ask our citizens for their trust and confidence in me. Together, I believe that we can make Eagle Lake a city without limits.
