Message from Julia Vincent, Headteacher A lot of this week has been focussed on raising money for Children in Need. We will let you know the final amount next week. I am very proud of how receptive students at this school are about the messages that Children in Need give to the nation, and the way they fully enter into the spirit of raising money for good causes.
Many congratulations to our Year 11 students who this week have completed their PPEs. Their teachers will now be busy marking and we look forward to the celebration assembly when the students will receive their results.

Year 8 Community Project: Children in Need
This week Year 8 students have been raising money for Children in Need by
organising and running events throughout the week. As one of the UK’s biggest
fund raising events, Children in Need raises money to change the lives of
disabled children and young people in the UK.
‘On Tuesday 14th November 8E organised a cake sale at break and lunch to help
raise money for Children in Need. We also organised a raffle. For every cake you
brought, you got a raffle ticket to be in with the chance of winning a massive
Pudsey cake. Gracie Floyd was the winner of the Pudsey Cake. Our tutor group
was very proud as we managed to raise £125.00 from the cake sale.
Throughout the rest of the week, all the other Year 8 tutor groups organised
events to help raise money for Children in Need. These events included a
non-school uniform day, sweet sale and a dodge ball tournament.’

The week’s events were a huge success! Well done to everyone involved.
Our grand total raised will be announced in next week’s newsletter.

Lunch Account Top Ups
We have an online payments system that allows you to top up you son/daughter’s lunch account online. This will
mean your child doesn’t have to bring money into school and will reduce queues for the top up machine during

National Anti-Bullying Week
From Monday 6th November to Friday 10th November, Warblington School
spent the week during SAGE time really thinking about and raising awareness of
anti-bullying as part of the National Anti-Bullying Week.
On Thursday 9th November by Mr P Radford hosted an Anti-Bullying Ambassador Workshop. 35 students from
across all year groups experienced a days workshop understanding what bullying is and where we are as a
school. Students then created a student voice steering group to change the culture around bullying.
Anti-Bullying Ambassador Workshop
‘On Thursday a small group of students got together and met with an anti-bullying ambassador. We got into
groups that were mixed ages, this insured that we had a wide range of opinions from all over the school.
We talked about the effects of bullying, not only those being bullied but also close family and friends that get
involved and why the bullies bully people.
Later on in the day we discussed what Warblington School could change to make bullying disappear from the
school. Also we talked about what we could do to change society and views of students at school etc.’
