Make sure you have a commitment from your sponsor and their dart boards and lane conditions are suitable for league play. Contact us at [email protected] and let your region’s board member know so they can address it out before the season begins.

Next WADA Board Meeting: Saturday, Jan. 12 The next board meeting will be held Saturday, January 12th at 1PM at Fast Eddies Springfield. All members are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Winter Calendar and Captain’s Meetings Please be sure to attend your region’s captain’s meeting to pick up your packets, take part in elections (VA East and West), pickup and/or inspect awards, discuss any recent rule changes (like 14B) and to help shape the future events and happenings of WADA. The schedule will be posted to the website, Friday January 18th as the Winter Schedule 2013 (excel file) and any subsequent changes will be announced. Please contact us if you can’t make it.

Payments (no credit cards) and rosters will be accepted at captain’s meetings.

WADA Fall 2012 Championships Fall championships were held at the Franconia Moose Lodge and we would like to thank the staff for hosting a great event. The Full Championship Brackets and pictures and player rosters of the A, B, and C, league champions and runners up are included in this publication as well as highlights.

WADA Winter Singles League starts Jan. 26 The Winter Singles League will start Saturday January 26th at Mighty Mikes in Sterling, VA. Sign up at http://wadadarts.org/SinglesLeague/AppList.asp. Registration will begin at Noon and play will begin no later than 1PM. The season consists of five events and players are playing both for the friendly competition and to earn one of the golden tickets to represent WADA at this year’s ADO Winmau Masters on March 9th (tentative) at Mighty Mikes. Details on the last page.

ADO Winmau Master 5-4 Regional Qualifier: March 9, 2013 (tentative)

Location: Mighty Mikes, Sterling, VA

Player Requirements:

Players must register online ahead of the first event or at their first event.

Players will pay a league fee of $40 before their first game is played.

The league fee covers entry into every event for the current season.

New registrations will be taken up to third event (February 16th).

Non-members must join WADA to participate ($10 lifetime membership fee).

Sponsor bar agreement:

The sponsor will reserve 12 or more boards for league play from Noon-6PM.

The sponsor will donate $5 per player per event.

Format:

All games are 501.

Seven (7) sets of three (3) for a total of 21 games.

Round-robin bracket will be set and names will be drawn into positions randomly.

A second random draw will determine which rounds will be played.

If there are fewer than 8 players at any event, the second random draw will determine which rounds will be played again to allow for 21 games.

Standings and Prizes:

Anyone who wins an event will be awarded a golden ticket for their first win.

Final point standings determine which players receive the remaining golden tickets.

One player for every $110 collected will be awarded a “golden ticket” as their prize.

Every player is awarded five points for each week played.

Every player is awarded one point per win.

Ties are broken by head to head or a three game playoff (if they never played)

A maximum of one golden ticket may be won each season per shooter.

The golden ticket may either be a virtual or actual item, depending on cost and will include a paid entry into the regional qualifier for the Winmau Masters.

If you qualify for the Winmau Master through another tournament you may use your golden ticket for any of the other three ADO regional qualifiers.

Remaining funds will go toward the last golden ticket and the remaining balance will be split between the qualifier and WADA or will “carryover” to the next season.

The last ticket holder can pay their share via cash or paypal to WADA.

WADA will send a list of players and a check for fees into the ADO regional.
