We are very thankful for all the prayers & support our parish family has shown us today & all through our lives. We are very blessed to have such great parishioners that believe in the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony. We also want to give a big thank you to Fr. Tony, Monsignor Hanson, the beautiful choir, the musicians & last but not least, our son Timothy who put the liturgy & music together for this special gathering. Love you all!

Dynamic Catholic, Alive! - Solemnity of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist Dynamic Catholic, Alive – Chosen and Called How beautiful the readings are today for this solemnity! They remind us that God knows us and loves us so deeply. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Even before we were born, He saw what our lives would be like. Just like the prophet Isaiah and John the Baptist, we are called to be servants of God who dedicate our lives to Him. Our Triune God must be the center of everything that we do, not just another item among the many on a checklist. Today, invite God to come into every dimension of your life, especially your family life. With this approach of consecration to God, making Him the focal point of our relationships, our work, and our leisure, we can bring others into a similar relationship with God and help them recognize their true identity as sons and daughters called to serve. Let us be like St. John the Baptist, who constantly sought to point others to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, during his short life. archstl.org/dynamic

THIS WEEKS READINGS While still in the womb, John the Baptist was called to prepare the people for the coming of the Lord. We hear today from Jeremiah or Isaiah, two prophets also called by the LORD before they were born. We ourselves were not called by God in such a dramatic way. Yet by virtue of our baptism, each of us also shares in Christ’s prophetic and salvific mission. As we listen to the readings today, let us think about how we have been called. QUESTION OF THE DAY How can I prepare the way for Jesus in my corner of the world? Can I recognize a desert somewhere in my world that is without Jesus’ message of hope and comfort?

Rural Parish Workers of Christ the King invite all Children to Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School: Rescued by Jesus. A summer kids’ event called Shipwrecked VBS will be hosted at the Rural Parish Workers from: July 9 to July 13. At Shipwrecked, kids discover that Jesus rescues them! Each day concludes with the Sail Away Sendoff that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.
