GEORGETOWN AFTER A
GOOD FOOTBALL TEAM
The fifteen or twenty candidates forthe Georgetown football team took theWeld yesterday and practiced forthan an hour Kicking and punting wasthe principal work It is a trifle earlyfor hard practice but when the weathergets a little cooler the men will beginwork in earnest
One by one all of the boys are returning from their vacations Onlythree or four of last years men will beon the team and Georgetown will haveto depend almost entirely upon new menfor her name in the football world thisseason This does not mean that it willnot be a good one for there are a number of likely youngsters that are ex-
pected to play the game quite as well asthose whose places they have takenAlthough they may not show up so wellat the beginning by the middle of theseason they will have gotten down tohard knitting
Monday the coach will take charge ofthe team with all the earnestness pos-sible and pick out the best ot his material for the varsity team while a crackajack scrub team will be maintained togive them practice
