• Clients served on a sliding fee scale based on income

• Family planning services include but are not limited to:

Birth Control Sterilization STI Testing and Treatment HIV Testing Reproductive Cancer Screening Sexual Health Education

• DOH federal Title X and state family planning funds are grant based – not fee for service

• DOH funds can be used in part to pay infrastructure

• Serving non citizens is allowable with federal Title X and state family planning funds.

• DOH Family Planning works closely with HCA/Medicaid Family Planning - All DOH contracted family planning agencies are also Take Charge sites

Massachusetts Health & Human Services

• Three years post-MA health reform, 75,000 clients continue to need subsidized services at Massachusetts family planning sites due to a lack of insurance, low-income status and/or need for confidential care.
