provided Washington Trust’s traffic with enhanced security via the CenturyLink private MPLS-based network. The complete CenturyLink solution also incorporated disaster recovery measures by introducing connectivity to a new, secondary customer data center. This provided dynamic rerouting requests to the secondary location in the event of a disaster.

Quality of service (QoS) was also an important component of the CenturyLink IQ Networking solution. CenturyLink’s advanced QoS capabilities will support Washington Trust’s banking and multimedia applications across its wide area network in a secure, prioritized manner ensuring the traffic designated as critical is given heightened priority as it is sent across the CenturyLink IP network.

The CenturyLink IQ Networking solution allows Washington Trust’s network management group to more easily add network locations, make changes and prioritize traffic.
