Funding of over $63 million has been allocated to Stage 1. Infrastructure is to be completed in 2013 with the first water ancipated to be injected into the aquifer in 2015. Vision Stage 1 has 5 key elements: 2 1 3 4 5 Old Port Road; with wetlands and Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) with water reuse, water quality improvement, environmental enhancements and reducing flood risk. Riverside Golf Course and Cooke Reserve; with wetlands and ASR components. Cheltenham Wetlands; with ASR and irrigaon to the site’s open space and urban development via a lilac pipe supply system. River Torrens Diversion System; to divert river water to supply addional water to supplement the wetlands. Linking and Distribuon Mains; linking the Cheltenham, Old Port Road and Riverside/Cooke Reserve projects and a Distribuon Main to supply the recycled stormwater to parts of the council area.
