WaveReady Multi-Node Management Solution The Lumentum WaveReady Multi-Node Manager is a simple and cost-effective network management solution that simplifies the management of multiple WaveReady network elements (NEs) by providing a single view of all the nodes. It provides an improved visibility of the network elements and also enables faster troubleshooting and fault isolation in the field.

It supports all functions required to do fault management, configuration management, user administration, performance management, and security management.

The Multi-Node Manager is stand-alone application that is easy to operate and can be used to provision local or remote network element using the equipment craft or an Ethernet interface.

The WaveReady Multi-Node Manager is an intuitive point-and-click interface that supports numerous management features including:

Fault and Alarm Management• Drill-down capabilities to node, element, card, and port

• Active alarm list and details on the node or network

• Nodal or network alarm summary

• Alarm logs and filters

Equipment Configuration• Auto-discovery of WaveReady nodes and sub-tended nodes

• Node and card provisioning using local craft access or Ethernet management interface

• Remote management and configuration of WaveReady nodes over an embedded management or out-of-band supervisory channel

Subtending Network Element

Multi-Node Manager automatically discovers network elements (NEs) as well as subtended NEs.

Discovered NEs are presented in an “explorer” list view. Discovered NEs can also be viewed graphically.

Individual nodes or groups of nodes can be accessed from the “explorer” list view. NEs and modules can also be viewed as realistic graphics

Alarms and alarm severity are displayed in real-time for each node or group of nodes.

Detailed information for each fault or alarm is displayed in the Alarms View of any node or group of nodes.

Alarms are easily isolated by using filters or by selecting specific nodes.
