Over the years, The Wayne CommunityCenter has provided service for suchfunctions as wedding receptions,graduation parties, baby & bridal showers,classes and corporate business meetings.We would like to invite you to host yournext event in our Oakbridge Suites.

W hether it’s a celebration banquet, a business luncheon,

or a quilt making class, The WayneCommunity Center offers customizedservice and professional assistance for allyour meeting needs. Our experiencedstaff is dedicated to providing excellentservice to make your function a success.

T his brochure supplies basic inform- ation that will help you plan your

special event. If you have any questions,please contact the banquet supervisor,(734) 721-7400.

AlcoholWe can provide a bar with beer tappingequipment. Alcohol is for personal consump-tion in Oak Bridge Suites only. Drinking ofalcoholic beverages is not allowed in hallways,arena, or pool areas. If you wish to sell ticketsto your event serving alcohol or sell alcoholicbeverages, you must obtain a license from theState of Michigan Liquor Control Commission.

Smokingis permitted in designated areas locatedoutside of the building. There is no smokingin The Wayne Community Center.

Table CoversWe can provide white paper table covers, ifrequested, for a nominal fee.

Catered EventsCaterers are the responsibility of the renter;caterers will have full access to theappropriate kitchen areas.

BillingFor certain community groups, billing perrental is available. Contact our office,(734) 721-7400, to determine if yourorganization qualifies.

Forms of PaymentWe accept cash, checks, Visa and Mastercardas forms of payment. Please make all checkspayable to the City of Wayne.

Refunds & CancellationsCancellations should be made at least 30 daysprior to the event* All refunds will beprocessed within 30 days and will be mailedto the name and address listed on the rentalcontract.* A processing fee will be retained from the security depositfor cancellations made more than 30 days before the event.The entire security deposit may be retained for cancellationsmade less than 30 days before the event.

T he planning of a special event can be creative and fun when these simple steps are followed:

Reserve the room for your event with theCity of Wayne Community Center at721-7400 as soon as possible.

Friday and Saturday rentals can be reservedup to two years in advance—all other reserva-tions can be made up to one year in advance.

Confirm your rental by placing your deposit and signing your contract withinone week of scheduling.

Finalize the number of guests, room set-up, and pay the balance of your room rentalat least two weeks prior to your event.

Be sure to let the banquet facilitiessupervisor know about any changes inyour room rental needs as early as possible.

he City of Wayne’s Department ofParks & Recreation offers a great

deal in its Banquet and Meeting RoomFacilities. Our rooms can accommodate upto 400 people, with kitchen facilitiesavailable for all rentals. We also providecommonly used audio/visual equipmentsuch as TVs, VCRs, screens, overhead andslide projectors*. Located only ten minutesaway from Detroit’s Metro Airport, it offersconvenience to local and national events.
