Power stations make electricity. They usually
burn coal, oil or natural gas to work the
generating machinery.
Disadvantages -
Coal, oil and gas supplies are gradually
running out, and burning so much
of them is probably adding to the
greenhouse effect, which causes global
warming.

electricity.
Advantages +
S olar energy is free - it needs no fuel and
produces no waste or pollution.
Disadvantages -
Very expensive to build solar power stations.
It is necessary a very sunny climate
