ROADMAP COORDINATION & MONITORING
• A comprehensive coordination and monitoring platform in place with funding support (EU CD 2018/1788);
• Biannual local coordination meetings organized regularly by the SALW Commissions, reviewing implementation of Roadmap Action Plans;
• Biannual regional roadmap coordination meetings organized by SEESAC, taking stock of implementation of Roadmap;
• A unique reporting framework as per Key Performance Indicators and Roadmap Goals established in cooperation with SALW Commissions;
• Five progress reports have been already submitted by all jurisdictions covering period 2018-2020.

• All jurisdictions have made progress in strengthening the legalframework related to FAE and its harmonization the EU Acquis:
• Analysis on the level of harmonization with the EU Acquis of legalframework conducted;
• New or amended laws and bylaws drafted or adopted in alljurisdictions;

• Assessment of border police capacities for preventing and countering firearms trafficking completed in the region; assessment of capacities of criminal police ongoing;
• Comprehensive support to border police in equipment, training, Standard Operating Procedures, K9, in process;
• Assessment of capacities in countering firearms trafficking through postal and courier shipments has been initiated;
• Increased operational cooperation with EUROPOL, INTERPOL, FRONTEX and EMPACT reported.

• No awareness campaigns of a large scale (at jurisdiction level) have been initiated yet on dangers of misuse and illegal possession of firearms, hampered by COVID -19 pandemic;
• Ad-hoc awareness raising/outreach activities were reported, targeting licensed entities and FAE producers;

During 2018 -2020, there were 411 people killed, 370 injured and 686 who committed suicide reported in the Western Balkans.
