The Fighting Scots have made the most ofall those turnovers forced – Edinboro hasscored an average of 39 points per nightoff of turnovers. Edinboro is +15.4 inturnovers per game (17.0 to 32.4). Edinboroleads the PSAC with 102 steals in just fivegames, or an average of 20.4 steals pernight. Next best in the conference isGannon at 16.8 steals per game. KiaraBrown leads the PSAC with 4.2 steals pergame.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE ‘D’} The turnover numbers from the opposition in the early going aren’t the onlyimpressive defensive stats from the Scots‘D.’ Edinboro has stifled its first five opponents, holding the opposition to 38.6 percent shooting from the field and just 26.8percent from behind the arc. All told, opponents are averaging only 58.2 pointsagainst the Fighting Scots.

DEPTH PERCEPTION} Edinboro used a system of spreading minutes across the entire roster to great success a year ago and has been finding equalplaying time throughout its rotation againin the early going. Samantha Blazetic leadsthe team in minutes played so far butaverages just 25.4 minutes per game.Seven players (Blazetic, Renee’ Brown,Raven Metz, Darche’ Jackson, KiaraBrown, Micki Cerchiaro and KerryConnolly) are averaging more than 20 minutes per contest through five games.

SPREADING THE WEALTH}Four Edinboro players enter tonight’s gamesaveraging in double figures. Kiara Brownleads the way at 16.8 ppg while SamanthaBlazetic (13.2), Renee’ Brown (11.4) and RavenMetz (11.2) are all in double figures as well.Darche’ Jackson (8.8) has added a strong

scoring threat as well.

MOVIN’ ON UP}A trio of Fighting Scots are making theirmarks on the school’s record books thisseason. Renee’ Brown, Micki Cerchiaroand Samantha Blazetic all continue to riseup several categories in terms of Edinborocareer records.

Blazetic recently moved into second placealltime in Edinboro blocked shots duringthe opening weekend of the season. Stillonly a junior, Blazetic stands just eightblocks away from tying the program recordof 159 set by Terri Ayers between 199093.

Renee Brown rose to 22nd on the alltimescoring chart with 1,059 points, passing the1,034 scored by Lachelle Crawl between19992003. Brown needs just over 300points to crack the program top 10. Shealso stands 9th alltime in free throwsmade with 253 and tied for 12th inrebounds with 565.

Cerchiaro, meanwhile, is eying the top 10 inmultiple categories. She currently lists seventh in blocks, 12th in steals and 19th inrebounds.

SCOTS KEEP THEIR BALANCE}Balance was a key component toEdinboro’s success last year as not oneplayer averaged more than 28 minutes pergame and no one reached 12 ppg. Instead,Edinboro relied on its depth to provide different scoring leaders throughout the season. Five players (Kiara Brown, Renee’Brown, Micki Cerchiaro, Darche’ Jacksonand Samantha Blazetic) averaged between9.311.6 ppg during the year.

Edinboro became perhaps the deepestteam in the conference last season, averaging 30.7 ppg from its bench.
