The Outreach and Recruitment Team attended Mumford High

School’s College Signing Day, which is one of the most anticipated

days for high school seniors to declare their college of choice for

Fall 2018.

The Dual Enrollment Team visited Cornerstone Health

and Technology High School to provide students with an

orientation into Smarthinking’s online tutoring service.

The Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education was host to the U.S. District Attorney Robert Poikey’s

training on Courtroom Testimony in Narcotics Cases. This course was designed to improve skills during

testimony.

MIPSE also hosted the FBI’s Evidence

Response Team (ERT) for Enhanced ERT

Search Techniques training. This training

provided members with classroom

instruction on enhanced search techniques.

U.S. Customs and Border

Protection K-9 Field Training

MIPSE hosted members of the U.S. Customs and

Border Protection K-9 unit for training. These dogs

are trained to find either narcotics or food.
