1919 - Army JROTC Established In Washoe County

1964 - JROTC Opened to All Services

Navy: Established at Reed in 1974

Established at Damonte in 2001

Air Force: Established at North Valleys in 2001

1974 - JROTC Opened to Females

1992 - Doubled Programs Nationwide

2000 - 50 New Schools a year for 5 years

Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps

graduation rate from High School!

• WCSD JROTC has sent at least 20 students to military academies or received senior ROTC scholarships in each of the last 9 years.

• Only 10% of our cadets join the military

• Our senior cadets average a 3.0 GPA
