Six Degrees of Separation
Theories on optimal design of cities, city traffic flows, neighborhoods and demographics were in vogue after World War I.
● These conjectures were expanded in 1929 by Hungarian author Frigyes Karinthy, who published a volume of short stories One of them was titled "Chains," or "Chain-Links."
● Karinthy believed that the modern world was 'shrinking' due to this ever-increasing connectedness of human beings.
Six Degrees of Separation
● Michael Gurevich conducted seminal work in his empirical study of the structure of social networks in his 1961 PhD dissertation under Ithiel de Sola Pool.

● Mathematician Manfred Kochen, an Austrian who had been involved in urban design, extrapolated these empirical results in a mathematical manuscript, Contacts and Influences,[5]

● Mathematician Manfred Kochen, an Austrian who had been involved in urban design, extrapolated these empirical results in a mathematical manuscript, Contacts and Influences,[5]
● " They subsequently constructed Monte Carlo simulations based on Gurevich's data, which recognized that both weak and strong acquaintance links are needed to model social structure ,1973, were nonetheless able to predict that a more realistic three degrees of separation existed across the U.S. population,
Six Degrees of Separation
The phrase "six degrees of separation" is often used as a synonym for the idea of the "small world" phenomenon

Collaboration graphThe two most well-studied collaboration graphs are:● Collaboration graph of mathematicians also known as
the Erdős collaboration graph,[3][4] where two mathematicians are joined by an edge whenever they co-authored a paper together (with possibly other co-authors present).
● Collaboration graph of movie actors, also known as the Hollywood graph or co-stardom network,[5][6][7] where two movie actors are joined by an edge whenever they appeared in a movie together.
In mathematics and social science, a collaboration graphis a graph modeling some social network where the vertices represent participants of that network (usually individual people) and where two distinct participants are joined by an edge whenever there is a collaborative relationship between them of a particular kind.

VISA CHECK CARD The Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon
"Okay, I was in a movie with an extra, Eunice, whose hairdresser, Wayne, attended Sunday school with Father O'Neill, who plays racquetball with Dr. Sanjay, who recently removed the appendix of Kim, who dumped you sophomore year. So you see, we're practically brothers."
Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon
"Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" is a popular game in which players attempt to link the actor to other celebrities, through his many movie roles. Now, the once harmless game has landed Bacon in some hot water with U.S. authorities. It seems that by using the rules of the game, Bacon can be connected to Al Qaeda terrorists in six steps.
