Throughout our entire operations, our specialist planning, design, engineering and construction knowledge ensures that every project is completed to the highest standard.
Our engineering expertise begins with our in-house team of highly-experienced consultants, who undertake the planning, design and detailing for the wide variety of schemes undertaken by the Cleveland Bridge Group. They work alongside our teams of value engineers, construction and installation engineers, creating a seamless process for delivery of even the most challenging project.
Construction EngineeringWith our experience and vast knowledge of construction engineering, we have the ability to think ‘outside the box’ and offer bespoke responses to a diverse array of challenges.
This can then be delivered through ourin-house expertise in design and manufacture, or our knowlegde and capacity in heavy lifting, launching, strand jacking and specialist movement of large fabricated components.
Delivery and Installation With extensive capabilities crucial to the erection of largescale steelwork construction, we have a distinct competitive advantage. This includes expertise that covers onsite erection, launching and float-in erection techniques.
Our engineering teams are able to recommend the most appropriate launch and installation approach, based on the nature and size of the project and anysite-specific conditions.
The specialist engineering equipment, skills and capabilities of Dorman Long Technology provide the resources to deal with even the most complex of erection situations.

Value EngineeringWe provide a vital difference to our clients by working closely with them from the very earliest stages of their projects ensuring we provide tangible value throughout.
Together with our knowledge of materials and fabrication expertise, this can lead to significant savings in both time and money. Through a greater understanding and clear view of our clients’ objectives, we are able to offer more cost-effective outcomes.
Using building information modelling (BIM) with advanced TEKLA 3D software, we can generate complete digital representations of steel bridges and structures.
Therefore, our in-house designers and engineers can assess and confirm all aspects of general arrangement, fabrication, component drawings and Strumis CNC files for material handling and automatic cutting/drilling.
This service is an important part of the procurement process for our international client base in the UK and throughout the Middle East, Far East, India and China.
