Most of the roof in a large portion of our building had collapsed. Due to the rainy weather and the extensive work by the local Fire Department most of our basement was flooded and much of what was on the first floor collapsed into the basement.

While most of our building was demolished and our computers burned by the fire we were still open for business. This is largely due to the quick response of local businesses. Our offices were located in a temporary building nearby, and all of our phones had been routed there.

We rebuilt in the newer Industrial Park with easier access to/from the highway for ease in shipping/receiving. We built a rail spur to service our facility to bring our raw materials in by rail.

Shadow offers a “honeycomb” embossing pattern with our film. Common uses for embossed film include table cloth coverings, shower curtains, medical curtains or separation sheets for frozen foods, tires, rubber or cheese products. It also aids in cooling hot products to avoid sticking to the plastic – or each other.

Autoclave bags are designed to be exposed to steam and heat at high pressure, decontaminating the materials inside rendering them sterile. We can produce them in various thickness as required by our customers. Biohazard bags are design to dispose of health hazard materials. These may include human cells or tissue, infectious agents, blood products and lab utensils. Biohazard bags and film can also be produced in various thickness.

Vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) packaging is a cost effective and proven corrosion protection product. EndoRust is used for protecting metal components and equipment during storage, operations, and shipping.

It Glows!

Shadow Plastics has a patent pending on Glow film and Glow bags. This unique product has many possible applications from Halloween bags, night safety film, glow-in-the-dark caution tape, it can be used within athletic wear, etc. The options are endless with this product... what is your idea for this film?

Corona Treatment A process the film goes through where an

electrical current is applied to the surface of the film web to burn off the slip and make the film porous in order for adhesion to take place such as printing ink applications or tape adhesion.

Fractional Melt Additive An impact modifier and commonly used for

shrink film applications (Improves strength in cold temperatures).

Anti-Static Additive Used primary to dissipate electrostatic charges,

such as for Computer parts packaging, or if the packaged product will be stored around combustible chemicals, etc.

Low Slip Additive Tacky outer surface for stack ability
