Since the incorporation in 1991 as a pioneer private company

in construction industry of Mongolia followed by the country’s

transmission to a new social and economic system, Zag

Group has grown into a leading group company in Mongolia

with 11 affiliates 2 foreign-invested companies specialized

in building material production, education, mining and

tourism, employing over 500 employees. With continuous

growth of the company, we recognize and appreciate

years since the establishment, Zag Group have undertaken

Our company became a subsidiary of a 27 year experienced

company “Zag Group” in 2014. We are successfully

conducting our activities in construction, building materials

and heavy machinery rental and freight.

Currently, we are working on the “Cultural Heritage Center”

building in Khan-Uul District and “Khiimori town” luxury

apartment in Chandmani. Also we contribute to “Oyu

Tolgoi” projects located in Umnugovi aimag and have

been working with them for 10 years. We work fairly and

transparently in the business environment to fairly assess

our employees’ performance, to compete with competitive

wages, and to create a tax base in 2018, contributing to the

development of our country by focusing on 2 billion mnt in

public funds. “Zag Engineering” LLC pays attention to the

health of its employees and is always at the forefront of safe

and environmentally friendly activities. Therefore, we have

started the introduction of MNS OHSAS 18001: 2012 and

MNS ISO 9001: 2016 from January 16, 2017.

CONSTRUCTION

UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

It has been 30 years since we established our institute in 1984

when it was called Construction professional school No 5.

During this time we taught thousands of students who work

in construction and infrastructure. Our students studied in

sectors of higher education, technical education, vocational

education, vocational training and Mongol Kosen college of

Technology. In 2012 we became the Institute of Engineering

and Technology. In this academic year 2016-2017, in total,

there are nearly 3000 students and 200 teachers and staff in

our institute. Due to the Institute’s development strategy and

business plan to implement middle-term targets, we were

selected by the Millennium Challenge Account project to

become a Center of Excellence in construction and we lead

education and training in this field in Mongolia. The Institute

was nationally accredited for a second time in 2012. As a first

in Mongolia, the Institute was internationally accredited with

Silver Accreditation in 2012 by the Asia Pacific Accreditation

and Certification Commission

MINING

The company, which holds a 583,83 hectare mineral

exploitation license located in Shiren-Ovoo, Khalkhgol

Soum, Dornod Province, has been running its activities since

2014. In the first half of 2015, we built a concentration plant.

According to preliminary

estimates, the concentration plant is expected to make an

output of 500,000 tons in the first year of production. In the

nearest future, we plan to increase production capacity two

or three times and export high content concentrate.

“ZEST UNDUR” LLC

Main mixer has a capacity of 3m3 and the plant is capable

to produce 150m3 concrete mixture per hour. It has own

laboratory to test samples of ingredients and final product,

issue quality certificate and provide database. We have

installed a mobile concrete batching plant with capacity of

60-70 m3 per an hour with volume of 1.5m3. The sidewalk

paving materials plant is a fully-automized plant with the

output capacity of 10,000-30,000 pieces of blocks per day.

We always carry out testing before making any purchase

decision of ingredients to be used for production, which

means our products are made with quality materials. Our

suppliers include “Tegsht Plant” /coarse aggregate/, “Dayan

Orgil” LLC /fine aggregate/, “Anno Top” LLC, “Ikh Uilst”

LLC and “Uvur Kharzat” LLC /washed sand/, “Central Asian

Cement” LLC /cements/ and “Sika Mongol” LLC / various

add-ons/.

MACHINERY AND MECHANISM

We put into operation the Mongolia’s first-ever factory to

produce metal wire products, as a result of

cooperation with Russian and Chinese leading metallurgic

factories in research and technology. The products we

produce can be applied not only in construction but also

in many other fields such as food industry, agriculture,

communications, motor vehicles, handcraft and others. Our

products meet requirements of quality standards in terms of

durability, flexibility and corrosion resistance, thanks to our

close collaboration with metallurgic laboratories. Recently,

we have successfully introduced a technology to galvanize

metal wares and wires, in order to prove our technology.

The company initially started to produce putty, glue for

insulation foam panels /BT-091301 model/ and façade

materials /BT-091302 model/ since 2009. In 2012 the

company re-equipped with fully-automated system to

produce plastic windows and doors. We use

quality materials including stainless metal shaft, fittings,

Turkish resins, double and triple-glazed glass with 4mm

thickness and SHIDE brand plastic materials. It offers wide

range of design and size for the choice of customers, giving

a 3-year warranty for all products. In 2014, the factory’s

output was 2840m2 of windows and doors in total.

TOURISM

Mongolia located in the heart of Asia is one of attractive

destinations for tourists with its beautiful nature. It is a new

and urgent challenge for Mongolian tourism and leisure

industry to attract more tourists not only for its nature but

also for good infrastructure by building modern leisure and

entertainment facilities in order to meet their demands. Zag

Company have foreseen such a demand and is planning to

build a leisure and tourism camp near the Khuvsgul Lake,

which holds almost 70% of Mongolia’s fresh water and 0.4%

of all the fresh water in the world and is one of seventeen

ancient lakes in the world, within the year of 2016.

According to the plan, the camp/resort will be capable to

accommodate and serve over 100 guests at once and will

offer best service and environment. The camp/resort will

strongly focus on entertainment approach for guests offering

various recreation and leisure activities.

Zag LLC is an experienced construction company and com-

pleted many projects including housing, hospitals, schools,

office buildings and shopping centers including:

Office building - 62,464 square meter in total

State-owned and public-purpose building facilities - 21,354

Educational or school buildings - 13,612 square meter in

Hospital buildings - 12,200 square meter in total

Over the last twenty five years throughout Mongolia we

completed construction installation and reconstruction

works covering a total area of 176,160 square meter, which

is not a small contribution to the development of the country.

Presently, we are implementing a housing project to build

a thirty-five townhouse villa “Khiimori”, which covers a total

area of 1,2 hectare, since 2013. Currently, ninety percent

of the construction work has been completed so far. We

also have been awarded a Drinking Water Supply Project for

the Oyu Tolgoi Gold and Copper Mine and already started

building works.

In accordance with a ger district redevelopment program

approved by the government of Mongolia and the municipal

parliament, Zag LLC was selected as a re-planning project

implementer covering a total area of 66.5 hectare land in

Sukhbaatar District. As an initial stage, we plan to start the

project “Z” in 2.8 hectare land of the Block “Z” in 2016, as

shown in the picture. This project site is located 1,8 kilometers

from city center in a busy business zone of “A” category. We

plan to apply a tunnel form construction, which is a modern

method of construction and the major incentive is very fast-

paced construction and 20 to 35% reduction in building cost

for large projects. All infrastructure-related works including

central heating, water and sewage systems are almost

complete and a general plan for this project has been

approved to start the construction work and all necessary

papers and permits required to start the project is complete.

KHIIMORI TOWN HOUSE

One of the biggest projects we implement since 2013 is

a townhouse villa project “Khiimori” located in Chandmani

Pass of Bogd Mountain. Under the project, a total of thirty-

five luxury-class townhouses will be built. Each house has

parking lots for 3-4 vehicles and has four storeys including

basement and fully-usable rooftop space.

You can consult with our engineers and designers to create

your unique interior design and all materials to be used in

interior decoration are health-friendly ecological products.

In this project, we introduced for the first time in Mongolia

a fully-usable rooftop technology and you can have a good

time right on your fully-gardened rooftop by sunbathing or

making barbeque with your family and friends or just enjoying

nice view. We will install a smart home control system

“ITZONE” in your home and the only thing you need is an

iPad to control almost everything including curtain, lights and

security system right from your sofa.
