We just bought a nice little house up in the mountains and we
wondered if you and your family wanted to come
and visit us next weekend.
Here’s a brief description of how to find your way.
First, take the ferry accross the river and you arrive directly on the road climbing gently up the hill.
Your choice, either take Bus No. 4 or drive your own car.
It does take a bit of time to get here but I assure you that it never gets boring.
If you prefer the bus, they usually offer very good fares and there is one leaving every half hour.
Try to avoid the rush hours.
The barriers might not be that impres-sive but the Roads Authority has promised some improve-ments already next year..
Do not bring your new big car. The road is usually a bit easier to negotiate if your car is not too wide.
Even if the view is breathtaking, do not forget to keep your eyes on the road and any oncoming traffic.
Also remember to slow down in the curves.
Now there are just a few tunnels coming up and then your drive will be over.
As you can see, no problem with the evacuation of air in the tunnels
You even have a nice view from most of them.
Here your drive has come to an end, the carpark is just to the left of the picture. A short walk and you ..
continue with the cable gondolas, a spectacular ride.
When you arrive at the top,
just follow the path
and make sure not to
deviate.
I suggest that the whole
family walks in a row, close to each other, so that you can
show the kids where they
should be a bit careful
Watch out for the guys
going downwards
Almost there, just a few additional
steps. Here you turn left.
Remember to tell the
kids to take it easy and
hold on
We did some
improve- ments on the last stretch
And just like that you’ve arrived
You will enjoy the view from our house and the way
down does seem easier to handle after a drink or two.
See you next weekend !
