All Christians should
always remember to walk
in the presence of the
Lord. This exercise would
guard all those who do it
faithfully from every sin;
moreover, it would make
them holy. (Rosmini)

Indian Jesuit Fr Stan Swamy
marked 100 days in prison
with a letter highlighting the
cases of poor people
languishing in jail who begin
their trials without even
knowing their criminal
charges. Ucanews.com
reported on 25th January that
in his letter to Jesuit
colleagues, the 84-year-
old priest also expressed
gratitude for the
“overwhelming” solidarity of
his supporters as he
completed 100 days in prison
Tory MP David Davis has
brought forward a Bill that
would require universities to
respect freedom of speech.
The Bill has received praise
from pro-lifers, who
say universities must be
“bastions of free speech”. It
follows a number of attacks
on the freedom of speech of
pro-lifers at UK universities.
The MP warned that there is
now a corrosive trend in
universities whereby certain
views are prevented from
being aired Mr Davis insisted
that it is censorship. The UK
is a great nation as long as it
lives up to freedom of
speech. Let us not deny
others the right to hear more
ideas.
If you are a parent you will
be desperately worried about the impact upon your childs education or mental health. My five year old held up a drawing he had done in school before existed and said how much he was missing his friends. Anxiety levels are at the highest level they have been since last April, with happiness and life satisfaction levels dropping following Britain being plunged into its third national lockdown. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) found that levels of anxiety are now at their highest since April 2020, when the first wave of Covid-19 was discovered. ( The Universe)
