22-Sept

We pray today for Rev Kerry Tankard, our District Chair, for Rev Sonia Hicks and Mrs Barbara Easton in their leadership roles within the Methodist Church. Lord, May they be aRuned to you, even as we know you hear our prayers.

23-Sept

We remember those who work in the retail industry from shop keepers to lorry drivers. In the fear of shortages in our stores, help us Lord to know when we have enough. How might you thank a shop worker next 9me you are shopping?

24-Sept

The Methodist Way of Life EVANGELISM: How have you responded to opportuni9es to share your faith? We oFen find it to easier to ‘do’ acts of witness rather than ‘speak’ words of witness. Ask God for opportuni9es to share your faith this week, and wisdom in responding!

25-Sept

Recognising the incredible despera9on that must be felt by families risking life to seek asylum or find refuge in another country, we pray today for those making such perilous journeys, for the rulers of na9ons they leave behind and those na9ons in which they seek refuge. Lord, help us to welcome the stranger.

26-Sept

Mark 9:38-50 Have you experienced someone punng a stumbling block in the way of faith? How were you aware of Jesus in that experience? Ask God to show you someone to encourage and affirm in their faith today … and then do it!

27-Sept

28-Sept

Holy God, we give thanks for all who work to help protect lives and maintain moral standards in the UK – the emergency services, those who work in law and all who speak up for those who have no voice. Lord, please work your truth and integrity in them and through them.

29-Sept

Pray today for your neighbours – those where the rela9onship is easy and those with whom it might be more challenging. Holy God, help us to build bridges not barriers, to be people of hospitality not hos9lity.

30-Sept

Pray for yourself today, that you may be aware of God with you in a tangible way. Pray that God will open your eyes to see his Spirit at work in your life today.

In the darkness of the s.ll night, In the dawning of the day light, In the mystery of crea.on, Creator God you are there. In the breath of every being, In the birthing and the growing, In the earth and all its fullness, Creator God you are there.
