Ingredients: 1 litre cider or apple juice 1/2 litre water 1 orange, orange zest 1 lemon, lemon zest 1 cinnamon stick 5 whole cloves 1 piece of root ginger sugar (according to taste) apple slices & cinnamon sticks for decoration » Wash orange and lemon in hot water and finely grate the zest. Squeeze both fruits and heat the juice lightly together with the zest. » Add cider or apple juice (non-alcoholic) and ginger, cloves and the cinnamon stick. After that carefully add sugar – according to taste. » Let the liquid brew for about 15-20 minutes at 50°C with lid on (do not boil). » Make shortcrust pastry and let it rest for half an hour

» Roll it out to the thickness of the back of a knife and cut out discs (Ø 5 cm)

» Cut half of the discs with a 3-hole cookie cutter (or any other hole cutter) and bake it in the preheated oven at 170°C for about 10 min.

» Brush the unperforated discs with red currant jam, sprinkle the other ones with powdered sugar and place one of each kind on top of each other.
