What is wearable technology?
• Wearable technology, tech togs, or fashion electronics are clothing and accessories incorporating computer and advanced electronic technologies.
Where/When did it start?
• In the 1600’s a fully functional Abacus Ring was worn.
• In the 1800’s a woman’s timepiece that “computes time”.
• More recently – the first International Symposium on Wearable Computers took place in 1997, Boston, MA.

ProjectorThe primary display of Glass is a rear projector that projects an image into a Glass Cube that is situated above the wearers right eyeTouch Pad and Camera Button
Although the primary control of Glass is intended to be voice, a touchpad exists to help navigate through cards and menus. This is a multitouch touchpad that allows for 2 points of touch.
CameraGlass has a 5MP camera capable of shooting video at 720p
Main HousingGlass contains an impressive amount of hardware inside of its main housing. This includes a WiFi Radio (b/g) and Bluetooth Radio, 16GB of Storage (12 usable), 1 GB RAM, OMAP 4430 CPU (Dual Core ARM Cortex A9 clocked at 1GHZ). gyroscope, allelerominitor and more.

Home CardPresented everytime Glass is turned on. By simply muttering "Ok Glass", you activate Glass's voice controls.
Directions CardPowered by Google Now, Glass can provide you with directions when you need them. If you have an appointment in your calendar or your daily commute, Google Now's Directions have you covered. As an added bonus, any location searched on Google Maps will automatically be added as a card for easy navigation. A simple tap activates the Glass Navigation System

Glass Navigation SystemGlass has one of the best Navigation Systems around, it is simply a pleasure to use. Glass's navigation system has 3 modes (Walking/Biking or Driving) and more to follow. If you have ever used an Android Phone's GPS, this should be both a welcomed and familiar change.

Developers Welcomed:
Glass takes an unorthodox approach to the development of Glass Applications (Glassware). Glass has a 100% cloud based API known as the Mirror API. This essentially allows developers to create applications in any language they want and simply send JSON encoded data to Google API to be displayed on a users Glass.

Ground Rules:
• Be Careful – the unit is not easy (improbable?) to replace & was costly.
• Take photo of yourself wearing Glass or ask that someone else take the photo. These tend to make geeky friends jealous on social networks!
• Ask permission to take photos of others with Glass.
