A Letter from the DirectorDear Resident,

I hope your summer has been an enjoyable one. In July we replaced all of the cardiovascular equipment in the Recreation Center. This is part of our mission to provide a state-of-the-art facility. Please come by and check out the improvements. We are currently hosting the D.I.A. Inside/Out program at Macomb Corners Park. Seven pieces of art are now on display along the walking path until October 31st . Please come out and enjoy these works of art. As fall approaches, it’s time to start planning your activities for the rest of the year. Please take a look at our latest edition of our R.E.A.C.H. catalog. We have offered many programs for all ages. Hopefully we offered something for you and your family. On behalf of the Parks & Recreation Department, we hope to see you at an upcoming event.

Sincerely,Salvatore A. DiCaro, Jr.Director of Parks & RecreationMacomb Township

The MTRC aquatics center has a variety of features sure to provide fun for everyone of every age. Our water playground begins with a zero depth entrance where you can walk through or around geysers. This pool features a multi-level playground where children can interact with water controlling devices before shooting through the slide. This pool reaches a maximum depth of 18”. For the more adventurous type, try our 3 story water slide. The slide will take you around several curves before you exit into our splash down pool. Others can stroll around in our lazy river, where a waterfall awaits for those who choose. Inside our river is a vortex where guests are spun around by circular water movement. Ever wanted to walk on water? You can attempt

to walk across our floating log walk. There are lap lanes for those who enjoy a good swim. After this much enjoyment our older guests can relax in our hot tub, or catch some rays on our outdoor sun deck, weather permitting.FAMILY CHANGING CABANAS: Six cabanas especially designed for families are available for use. Each is equipped with a shower, changingstation, sink and toilet. Larger lockers are located outside of rooms for storage of multiple guests’ items.
