Overall, most of our surveyrespondents were noncommittalabout buying a web tablet in 2010,with 52% saying they may buy a tablet and
30% indicating they most likely will notbuy one.

Good Internet/web access is an absolutemust-have, with an overwhelming share ofrespondents (98%) saying it was important orvery important.
Respondents also ranked e-readercapabilities highly, with 85% saying it wasimportant/very important. This could indicatetrouble ahead for Amazons Kindle.
Apple made the right bet with HD video,as more than three-quarters (77%) of
respondents said this feature wasimportant/very important.
Only39% of respondents ranked videogames as a must-have, a possible indicationthat the market is already well served byportable game players and smartphones.

We also asked about a mix of additionalproduct considerations that couldinfluence panelists purchase decisions.
98% of our respondents said goodconnectivity options (Wi-Fi and 3Gamong others) were critical.
95% of our combined panelindicated costwas very important totheir purchase decision.
9 out of 10 respondents see the costof mobile broadband as important,indicating that the additional cost ofservice could impact the decision makingprocess of potential iPad customers.
