Week of June 8 th and 15th

1. a) Speak the poem:"Le Dormeur du val "(with the sound track) and make sure you understand every word, otherwise write down those you still need to learn.

b) Answer in French questions about the poem and as usual use the vocab. of the questions to formulate and write the answers:

i. Est-ce-que le jeune soldat semble triste ou heureux?...(does the young soldier

seem sad or happy?)

   b) Listen, read, repeat, learn and recopy sentences how to describe some activities:(listen to the sound track to keep a good pronunciation)

+ Cette semaine, il faisait mauvais, alors…(this week it was bad weather, so...)

-J'ai ecoute de la musique..(I listened to music);

J'ai joue au piano, a la flute, a la guitare..(I played piano, flute, guitar)..

J'ai aide a la maison a preparer des repas..(I helped home to prepare some meals) ;

par exemple,j'ai prepare des salads..(I prepared salads),

j'ai cuit des spaghettis avec de la sauce tomate et du fromage rape..(I cooked

spaghetti with tomato sauce and grated cheese)

-J'ai fait une salade de fruits avec des pommes,des bananes,des mandarines, des

poires, des fraises hmmm Delicieux! ( I made a fruit salad with apples, bananas,

satsumas, pears, strawberries….Delicious!!).

3. Litterature…"Le Petit Prince"..

Chapter 12...(XII) p.35 (only the last 6 lines),p.36 ,p.37 (only first 2 lines until the end of the chapter)

a) Here are the verbs in the infinitive so you can translate easily with a dictionary, write the translation below, some have been given to you:

b) Write down the translation of p36 .(first 12 lines)

c) Answer the following questions in French and use the words in the questions to formulate the answers:

i. Est ce que le Petit Prince est naif quand il demande au buveur ce qu'il fait

devant tant de bouteilles?..(Is the little Prince naïve when he asks the drinker

about what he is doing in front of so many bottles?)

ii. Quelle sont les repetitions dans les questions et les reponses?..(which words

are repeated in the questions and answers?)

iii. Quelle est la morale de cette planete avec l'attitude du buveur?..(What is the

morality of this planet due to the attitude of the drinker?)

4. Grammar Revise the verbs below we have learnt so far:

Regular ER verbs, AllER, *Se demander, VoyaGER, Etre, Avoir., apprenDRE, comprenDRE.
