Recount 2

You need your recount plan from last week.

Mine looks like this, yours should be similar.

Now I want you to write the words “Linking Sentence” at the bottom of the Introduction section, like this,

Now add the numbers 1, 2 and 3 to your introduction box and the sentence starters ‘as long as’, ‘not long after’ and ‘ following that’ just like I have done in my example.

Using our describing bubble, we are going to write three paragraphs that have number, size and colour sentences in them to recount the very beginning on the Jack and the Beanstalk story.

Here are my examples.

You need to write your own, but can borrow ideas from my examples if you would like.

As you can see, the third paragraph could be improved as it is missing all three key describing elements.

Now I would like you to write a ‘linking sentence’ next to the words Linking Sentence that links you third paragraph in the Introduction section to the first paragraph in the events section.

Have a look at my example before you write anything!

You could use the same linking sentence as me, as long as it makes sense in your recount!

Now we just need to write our conclusion!

The first part of the Conclusion, should link to one of the paragraphs in your introduction!

Look at my example.

I linked the second paragraph about meeting the old man in my Introduction section to the first paragraph of my Conclusion section.

The last paragraph of your Conclusion section should be a little summary or observation.

Here is my example.

You have now finished your recount of Jack and the Beanstalk from Jack’s point of view.

Hopefully yours now looks something like this!
