10 Common Areas to Snack While Schooling It Up

You ever bring your food with you to eat while at school, but just do not know where to sit, eat, and have some quiet time or just enjoy conversation while eating. Here are some places that we found to be good.

1. The Cafeteria

Here you can buy your food from the UC Bistro, or bring your own food and sit down in the smaller area(photo2) or in the more open area (photo 1).

2. The Courtyard outside of the Cafeteria

This is the area outside the cafeteria. YES it is cold but when its nice outside this is a great spot to sit and enjoy your food. You can sit in the shade or in the sun and get a little tan while you eat. Just keep most of your clothes on if you are going to get some sun.

3. The Science Help Lab

WHY on earth would the science lab be in this list. Well there is a microwave here and everyone knows you need help with Chemisty. Literally everyone in this room is here for help. Some are here for a long time, especially the tutors. The microwave is there for a quick heat if you brought your food. Eat and study, it is everyone’s dream to eat like that.

4. The Area outside One Stop

This area has some comfy seats to sit in, with small tables around by the chairs. There is also a high table in the middle. This place is nice to sit in the cushiony chairs and eat some of the food you have. Also When one stop gets busy, you will be sitting there for a while anyway, so why not bring some food to eat while you wait. Just don’t eat to much and go to sleep, then you will miss your appointment.

5. Walter’s Hall Bottom Floor Area

Again here there are some comfy chairs to sit on and eat some food. Extra perk here though is there are some couches to relax on. This area does not have a microwave or anything like that though. Most people are in this area waiting for the next class they have in the building.

6. Corner of Progress Hall 1st Floor

Here there are some chairs and some benches. Everyone that has a class in the building like to use that area to sit and relax, be it to eat or sleep. Most people use this area to snack but someone really needed a nap.

7. Main Hallway of Muntz Hall

The hallway in Muntz hall has tables for groups to give out information, but when they are not doing that people like to use those tables to eat right outside the cafeteria. They are not the most comfortable and not even private. People see you eating and just let you be, so all honesty people might see you, but they will let you be and enjoy your food and relax. Unless you are doing a list like this and then our group comes and bothers you.

8. The Sidewalk

This is our very own Ludwig here enjoying a quick meal while on the go. The sidewalk even though you cant sit there, well you could but people will walk on top of you or over you. This might be a popular place to grab a snack as you walk to class. When you are hungry and can not stop, the sidewalk to class is the best place to eat.

9. Your Car

If you are looking for a place to get away for real, then here it is. Get away from people, faculty, and be in your own world. People might see you but they are not going to get in your car and sit with you. You can sit there and enjoy your own little world and the food you brought for you yourself while sitting in your comfy car.

10. NOWHERE -You do not Eat

If you are like me, you just do not eat lunch or have a snack at all during this time. Or maybe you just are not on campus long enough to even want to bring or buy food and eat it. Either way the best place for that is not on campus and at your house or wherever, whenever you decide to eat.
