Date : 10th to 13th February 2020
Time : During 1 to 3 rd period
Venue : Physics lab
Participants : 2 students from each house of each section were selected. So, there were 6 students from each house. The total number of participants across the sections of a specific grade were 24.
Conducted by: Teachers of grade 2 to 5th
Objectives:
To give interactive platform to the brilliant students to showcase their intelligence and knowledge.
To channelize their energy in positive and effective way. To boost their confidence and make them prepare for future competitions. To give opportunity to students to hone their team work skills.
Highlights:
There were 3 to 4 rounds for each class. PPTs with quiz questions were prepared for the students. Instructions about each round were given to them in advance. Students were very enthusiastic and full of energy during quiz. They enjoyed rapid fire round and buzzer round a lot. Students participated with lots of zeal in this competition. Winners got the prizes and certificates from Principal ma’am. Participation certificate were given to all the participants to encourage them to participate in such competitions in future also.
Outcome: Students were given opportunity to utilize and expand their knowledge. This fun way to study motivated them to learn more. It taught students to work in groups. It helped them to brainstorm and improve their concentration. It enhanced their critical thinking.

ENGLISH CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION
Date : 11thFebruary 2020 Venue : Vidya Bharati School Primary Wing
Participants : Students of Grade – Nursery to Grade I
Objectives
1. To motivate children to write neatly in good hand writing.2. To improve their pace of writing.3. To make children aware of correct formation of letter and curves.
Highlights The paper was adorned with beautiful writing styles of the students. They also sharpened up their Pencils and did buck up themselves to write the best of their abilities. It was more of a writing practice for them and as Mahatma Gandhi popularly said that a bad handwriting should be regarded as a sign of imperfect education. We want our children to flourish well in future. The students were really happy to participate in the competition as they did something different and out of the box.

PRE AND POST EXAMINATION MODALITIES WORKSHOP
Date : 15 February 2020
Venue : Vidya Bharati School
Participants : Teachers of IX-XII Classes
A workshop was organized in the school for Pre and Post Examination Modalities of CBSE evaluation. The resource person, MS Seema Khanna explained the entire process of board evaluation. She also shared the responsibilities of HE, AHE, NEC, Coordinator and Evaluator. Sample cases of mistakes of previous year’s evaluation sheets wereshown and discussed to avoid them in future. It was an important workshop aimed to help the teachers understand the evaluation process laid down by CBSE.
Objective:
The objective of the workshop was to make the teachers aware about the existing rules, regulations and the changes that have been made by CBSE of the evaluation process. It was held to make the teachers understand their responsibilities and act accordingly.
REPORT ON VEDIC MATHS QUIZ Date : 19th February 2020
Time: 2nd to 6thperiod
Venue: Round one – Respective classrooms
Round two - Physics Lab
Participants: All students of grade VI to VIII participated.
Conducted by: Ms. Priti Jain (KP MAS)
Objectives:
To provide an interactive platform to the brilliant math students to showcase their intelligence and knowledge skills.
To enhance computation skills in students. To Improve clarity and depth of mathematical concepts. To Develop analytical thinking through vedic mathematics. To make them more confident and prepare them for next level competitions.
Process & Highlights: 2 rounds in each class were conducted. Instructions about each round were given in advance. In 1st round, whole class participated. 10 students from each class were selected for 2nd round. Students enthusiastically participated in this quiz competition.
Outcome: Students applied short tricks to solve sums. They enthusiastically participated in calculating sums and objectively involved in the activity. They utilized this opportunity to learn more and expand their knowledge. It helped students in improving their problem solving skills and analytical skills.
Result at glance:Following students from grade VI to VIII were selected for Inter School Competition of Vedic Maths which will be held in the month of April 2020.

INTER CLASS ENGLISH STORY TELLING COMPETITION
Date : 24th February 2020
Venue : Vidya Bharati Pre-Primary wing
Participants : Students of Grade – Nursery and KG
Objectives
To develop, memorization skills and the flair of speaking skills among the children.
To provide the opportunity to explore their talents.
To help the students to build command over their language.
To build up their confidence by the means of fun and activities.
Highlights :
The competition saw children beautifully dressed in costumes with props narrating stories,
flawlessly, in front of an eager audience. There were a lot of interesting stories which took the
judges back to their childhood. The response was overwhelming and it amazed us with the
hidden talent of our young story tellers. They told the story with great enthusiasm and
depicted high level of competitive spirit. The participants with their props told the stories in
appropriate pitch and diction. Participants were happy to receive such a great praise and love
from everyone. It enabled them to build up their confidence, ability and learn the correct
technique of telling a story. The little scholars learnt a lot many things even in the process of
getting prepared for the event. This made them come out of their cocoons and explore their
talent in a better way.

VISIT TO CRAFTS MUSEUM
VENUE : Crafts Museum, Pragati Maidan, Delhi
DATE : 11th to 20th February’2020
PARTICIPANTS : Students of Grade IV,V, VI,VII
OBJECTIVE : To discover the diverse cultural heritage of India. To get to know the artworks, textiles, statues and paintings of rural and tribal India.
HIGHLIGHTS : The museum exhibited tribal and rural handicrafts besides metalware, clay artifacts, terracotta pots,
toys, jewellery and textiles from all over the country. The museum had different galleries : Tribal and Rural Craft Gallery, Gallery of Courtly Crafts, Textile
Gallery, Gallery of Popular Culture The museum also houses a village complex spread over 5 acre with 15 structures representing
village dwellings, courtyards, and shrines from different states of India, with items of day to day life displayed.
One of the major attractions was that the artisans who demonstrated their skills on the spot to visitors.
The experience of interacting with the craft-persons and the cultural performers was priceless.
OUTCOME :
Students were able to gather a great amount of knowledge about the art and culture from various periods of history. The visit left a deep impression on the minds of young children. The students returned with a mind full of rich and vivid glimpses of the rural India.
