1.) Data Submission Process OverviewThis section provides an overview of the BOT data

submission process. There are 3 main processes for global custodians to submit data to Bank of Thailand (BOT). (Picture1)

- Global custodians : Prepare data files and send to local custodian (process 1,2) o Prepare data as instructed by the Data File Document

and Data File Manualo Use ‘DMS DA Data Encryption Application’ provided by

BOT to encrypt the data fileso Send encrypted data file to local custodian in Thailand

- Local custodians : Submit data file to BOT (process 3) o Use existing DMS DA Data Submission

2.) Software Installation Guide

2.1) System requirements2.1.1) Windows 7 64 bit or higher2.1.2) .NET Framework 4.5

2.2) How to get DA Encryption Application softwareBOT will send ‘DMS DA Data Encryption Application’ with

Checksum results (or hashes) to local custodian contact person via email and the program will be distributed to relevant global custodian.

2.3) How to verify Checksum resultsTo verify Checksum results, follow these steps.2.3.1) Open Command Prompt (cmd.exe)

2.3.2) Go to the directory that you extract Program DMS DA Data Encryption V.1.4.zip

2.3.3) Run command CertUtil -hashfile

DMS.DA.DataEncryptionApplicationSetup.msi SHA256 CertUtil -hashfile setup.exe SHA256 2.3.4) Verify with Checksum results in sha256.txt

2.4) Installation StepsTo install DMS DA Data Encryption Application, follow these

installation steps.2.4.1) Unzip Program DMS DA Data Encryption V.1.8.zip and

store it in a location where you can access them for installation

2.4.2) Run ‘Setup.exe’

2.4.3) Select installation folder then click ‘Next’

2.4.4) Confirm installation by click ‘Next’

2.4.5) Once installation is complete please click ‘Close’ to exit installation.

***Note : If the installation fails with a message detecting the

application to be a ransomware, please contact your IT /network administration department to add ‘DMS DA Data Encryption Application’ from BOT to software whitelist and reinstall again.

3.) How to Use the BOT Data Encryption Application3.1) Find ‘DMS DA Data Encryption Application’ in the Start

Menu

Or double click the ‘DMS DA Data Encryption’ icon on your desktop

3.2) Click ‘Browse’ to select the prepared data file to encrypt.

3.3) Select the input file then click ‘Next’.

3.4) Select the recipient certificate then click ‘Next’.

3.5) Use the default output folder or click ‘Change’ to change the output folder then click ‘Next’.

3.6) Once the file preparation process is complete, a message will be displayed.

3.7) Browse the output folder for the encrypted file. Use this file to submit to your Local Custodian.
