Your student will have multiple online assignments and helpful tools to make better use of the device. Please reinforce the rule that laptops should be charged at home, and brought to school daily! They can keep their chargers at home. Leader in Me Information: This month we will focus on Habit Three: Put First Things First: When you get home do you instantly start playing or do you complete your homework first? Leaders always put first things first! This Month in the Classroom ELA – I can determine the different types of sentences when I read. I can also use the different types of sentences in my writing. In 4 th grade we are writing complete sentences, using proper punctuation, and beginning our sentences with capital letters. Math – I can add, subtract, multiply, and divide large numbers. I can solve word problems using one of the four operations. Science – Students are visiting Mrs. Nazario weekly to have many hands on experiences in science this month! We will discuss moon phases and star patterns in the classroom. Social Studies – Students are learning to compare and contrast the different European Explorers and their contribution to today’s American. To show mastery of this standard your student should name European explorers, list obstacles, reasons for exploring, and accomplishments.
