O’Carroll, who died in Portugal, will be celebrated on Saturday 13 th January at 7 o’clock. R.I.P. Funeral Catering Group Happy New Year to all our supporters (of which there are many, and we are so grateful!) The New year got off to a great start for the FCG with two very generous fundraisers by Graignamanagh GAA and The Cosy Bar .Many thanks to Thomas ‘Hobie’ Holden, Mary O’Donnell, Jim Whelan, Denis Rackard Cody and all those GAA gems involved in the St. Stephen’s Day hurling challenge match between the fantastic 1980s vets and the current young guns. It was a brilliant event and yielded €1,380 for our group. Also, equally great was the effort by Denis Doyle, James Doyle and Therese Lyng of The Cosy Bar who made and raffled a lovely hamper over the holidays. This gave us another €480.Many, many thanks to all who contributed. The brothers, sister, nephews, nieces and family of the late Mickey Hoare, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad loss.To those who travelled, attended the wake, funeral mass and burial and to those who sent cards and messages they are all greatly appreciated. We thank Fr Byrne for celebrating the funeral mass and burial, and also the choir and the altar servers. Rambling HouseRambling house in Newtown hall on Friday January the 12th at 8pm. This is our first rambling house of 2018, we promise a great night of music, song and storytelling. St. Stephens Day Fundraiser: Another great day in Dr Tierney Park with a record amount raised for our chosen charity. These events don’t just happen and our club would like to thank everybody who made the event possible. Young and old enjoyed the game and indeed the hospitality provided by our Committee after the game. This event could not have taken place without the participation of our former players and they made it a great blend, a great game and a very successful Charity match. No major injuries were reported- a few heavily bandaged knees on display though. Thank you to Denis Rackard Coady for taking charge of the whistle on the day. Thank you to everybody in our community who made St Stephens Day 2018 a day to live long in the memory bank. A cheque for €1,380 was presented to members of the funeral catering committee by the Committee of Graignamanagh GAA Club in our clubrooms on Monday evening.The Annual Wheelbarrow: Congrats to the Prize Winners in our Christmas Draw on New Year’s Day.1st Eleanor Nolan (Wheelbarrow), 2nd Rebecca Connolly (€100 Fuel Voucher), 3rd Rosie Roche (€50 Meat Voucher). Huge thanks to everyone that donated a prize and to all buyers and sellers for your tremendous support. Thank you to all the Businesses in town that sold cards for us also. As usual it was a very successful fundraiser.

The family of the late Kathleen (Kitty) Nolan, Barrowmount Drive, Goresbridge would like to thank everybody who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. We appreciate those who called to the house and attended the funeral and those who sent flowers and Mass cards. We would also like to thank Doctor Helly an all the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny for the care they gave her in her final days. Thanks to Fr. Kelly, Mr. Mc Evoy and Fr.
