Youth against abortion stigma
As every generation of today is familiar to this word abortion. Some take it in a positive ways whereas some in Negative. Most people from developed countries are friendly and take abortion in broad sense but In Nepal specially in an underdeveloped places or rural areas keep this as a confidential. It is very hard and difficult
to accept the so called word ABORTION. So our FPAN palpa's youth members took this initiative on this abortion stigma and made this program successful
On 25th of September 2017 we the active members of Fpan palpa with association with bangsha Gopal youth club made this program a huge success. Teenager, Youths as well as their parents were involved in this program. It was a great privilege to see their active participation and involvement beyond our expectation. Almost everybody spoke and gave their views perceptions on this topic without any hesitation. There were many sessions such as SRH( sexualtity and reproductive health),contraceptive devices, safe and unsafe abortion, ways
and types of abortion, Education for what? etc. we were surprised to see them because they had so many information and knowledge about abortion. One of the member from bangsa gopal youth club also told us about the negative blood group of a mother that may cause the 2nd child to die.
Many female participant talked about the experiences they had gone through and the circumstances they had to face during abortion. They knew the unsafe abortion may also lead to dead of mother and a child or may be the mental problems but fear to open up in a society. This was our great achievement to start a new change on their education and thinking. After this program they had developed a bit a guts and a ways of thinking. This program was a small approach to change about abortion within the people. This was not so easy though some of them had an argument on this too because accepting this challenge in such a rural area in not so easy but after a long discussion we were successful.
