P1 EFF STATEMEMENT ON EID UL FITR Monday, 25 May 2020 As the Holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, the EFF takes the opportunity to congratulate the Muslims in South Africa, Africa and around the World on the completion of the obligations of this month. This year the holy month of Ramadaan occurred against the backdrop of a world in a battle against the COVID-19 pandemic and Muslims, like everyone, observed the lockdown regulations. Despite the dire situation, the generosity of Muslims to contribute to the alleviation of the poor and less fortunate continued. Although Muslims may not visit friends and family as per tradition, this day remains a day of celebration, a celebration of love and kindness, a celebration of caring for the less fortunate, the elderly, the sick and the disabled. May we all draw inspiration from your sacrifices and your display of humanity.

EFF STATEMEMENT ON EID UL FITR

Monday, 25 May 2020

As the Holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, the EFF takes the opportunity to congratulate the Muslims in South Africa, Africa and around the World on the completion of the obligations of this month.

In the spirit of the Islamic faith, you have refrained from eating from dawn to dusk which enabled you to identify with the less fortunate and the downtrodden, you have felt the pangs of hunger, and you have also given generously in charity, as is required of you.

As you celebrate the end of the month-long fast, may you and your families have a Joyous Eid Ul Fitr.

We wish you an Eid Mubarak and the Blessings of this occasion.
