AutoCAD installation on Windows1) Launch the installer and click on the “Installation” button.

2) Accept the License Agreement.

3) As License Type select “Network” and give the USB’s Serial Number (380-28472887) and Product Key (769F1). In the Network License section, select “Unique server license” and enter “lserve4.vub.ac.be” as the server address.

4) Select your software and proceed with the installation.

Borrowing/Checking Out a License from the server for AutoCAD

“Borrowing” a licence from the server allows you to use AutoCAD without needing a connection to the Internet for a certain period. This can be useful when you are working on a laptop from

home. An initial Internet connection is required to set up the disconnected licence.

● When the laptop is plugged into the network, open the software that you want to borrow.● Go to the Help menu, then choose About, then click on the “Product Information” button:

This will allow you to use the software for up to 6 months. You will need to repeat the above process to extend the borrowed license for another 6 months.
