Hi Everyone I can’t believe it’s nearly the end of May already, this year is going very fast but we have lots of things planed over the next few months both ridden activates and social events. In March we had the Winter Intermediate Dressage Qualifier for both senior and junior riders. Our Jnr team rode their socks off to go and win the Jnr Team event which meant they had qualified for the champs at Bury Farm. Individually Grace Hamilton won her Prelim 7 class with Isabelle Sheehy taking 3 rd place and Lauren Ransom who is one of the clubs new Jnr riders gaining a very respectful 6 th place. In the Novice 30 Isabelle rode her heart out to win the class with her fellow team mate Katie Keogh coming 3 rd , our second new Jnr rider Tallulah Murrell rode the Novice 34 and took home a well earned 4 th place. Katie also rode a very accurate Elementary 49 to secure the win so with 3 wins the team easily qualified for the championships in April, well done girls. The senior team just missed out on qualifying this year coming 2 nd out of 19 teams!! Victoria Clayton came 6 th as an individual in the Novice 30. Amy Boaler took a 3 rd place in the Novice 34 while Amy Widdows was 4 th in the Elementary 49. Amy then rode her second ever Medium test to pick up a 2 nd place. Sam Dowse and Karen Dorling rode some lovely tests and were only just out the placing. Massive well done ladies fantastic effort from you all. Next on the calendar was the team friendly and Dressage to Music Qualifier in April. Our friendly team consisted of Teresa New, Isabelle Sheehy and Zoe Griffiths. They all rode brilliantly to take 2 nd place. The DTM classes were very well supported by the whole area and yet again Moat View showed the rest of the clubs how it’s done by winning 4 of the 6 qualifying classes. Isabelle and Custard came 2 nd in the Jnr Prelim Music; not bad considering it was her first time riding to her new music and routine from the DTM Clinic with Gaynor Colbourn which we held at the beginning of the year. Jo Cocker won the Novice no points for the second

Hi EveryoneI can’t believe it’s nearly the end of May already, this year is going very fast but we have lots of things planed over the next few months both ridden activates and social events.

In March we had the Winter Intermediate Dressage Qualifier for both senior and junior riders. Our Jnr team rode their socks off to go and win the Jnr Team event which meant they had qualified for the champs at Bury Farm. Individually Grace Hamilton won her Prelim 7 class with Isabelle Sheehy taking 3rd place and Lauren Ransom who is one of the clubs new Jnr riders gaining a very respectful 6th place. In the Novice 30 Isabelle rode her heart out to win the class with her fellow team mate Katie Keogh coming 3rd, our second new Jnr rider Tallulah Murrell rode the Novice 34 and took home a well earned 4th place. Katie also rode a very accurate Elementary 49 to secure the win so with 3 wins the team easily qualified for the championships in April, well done girls. The senior team just missed out on qualifying this year coming 2nd out of 19 teams!! Victoria Clayton came 6th as an individual in the Novice 30. Amy Boaler took a 3rd place in the Novice 34 while Amy Widdows was 4th in the Elementary 49. Amy then rode her second ever Medium test to pick up a 2nd place.

They all rode brilliantly to take 2nd place. The DTM classes were very well supported by the whole area and yet again Moat View showed the rest of the clubs how it’s done by winning 4 of the 6 qualifying classes. Isabelle and Custard came 2nd in the Jnr Prelim Music; not bad considering it was her first time riding to her new music and routine from the DTM Clinic with Gaynor Colbourn which we held at the beginning of the year. Jo Cocker won the Novice no points for the second year running and Amy Widdows also defended her title from last year by winning the Elementary and then went on to win the Medium Music class too. The pair’s class this year was won by our club chair Liliane Widdows (who normally doesn’t do Dressage) and her daughter-in-law Amy. Teresa New won the Pas Seul with her Police themed music and costume. The club will have a very busy weekend in October at the Championships lol. It was lovely to watch all the music classes, such an array of music and floor plans and it really showed with the results who had attended the DTM Clinic with Gaynor.

The Intermediate National Championships was less than a month ago now, and WOW our junior team that qualified in March only went and took 9th place Huge well done to Grace Hamilton, Isabelle Sheehy, Tallulah Murrell and Katie Keogh, you have all done the club proud.

Area 10 Horse Trails were on the 14th May at Bonflur. Stacy Hook did a marvellous job representing the club in the 80cm section, this was also Stacy’s first ever attempt at a horse trails and I think it was safe to say that she really enjoyed the whole experience. I was stood at the last fence on the XC course and the smile on her face just said it all, well done Stacy and Ziggy.

If you don’t have any transport there is no reason why you still can’t compete. Area 10 has a Virtual Dressage Competition which runs each month and Moat View is currently
