Oscar Party-

You are cordially invited to view the 87th annual Oscar Awards at Suite on Sunday, February 22, 2015!

Beginning at 6PM, the event is hosted by CineCityJax and the American Lung Association. All proceeds go to benefit research, education and advocacy in the fight against lung disease. Tickets are $5 for general admission or $30 for VIP admission, which includes a “swag bag,” an open bar and one raffle ticket. A

raffle will be held with tickets at $5 each (or three for $10), with attractive raffle prizes generously donated from local businesses.

So get your buttery popcorn ready because we hope to see you there!

Florida Blue Lunch-

Florida Blue and Nemours Children’s Clinic are hosting a “Free Lunch and Learn,” featuring Dr. Kathryn Blake. The event will be held at the Florida Blue Retail Center on Tuesday, March 3 at 12:30 PM.

Dr. Blake is a Principal Research Scientist at Nemour’s Children’s Clinic. Her research in asthma is funded by the National Institutes of Health and she has conducted over 100 research studies, with over 70 papers published on asthma and its treatments.

Asthma affects nine percent of adults and children and can be life threatening. Topics will include symptoms, risk factors, management, treatment and advances in asthma through research. Lunch will be served at no cost for all attendees.

Lumi-Tron-Ix Run-

Do your part to help raise money for charity by attending the Lumi-Tron-Ix Run on Friday, April 3rd at the Jacksonville Shipyards. The race starts at 8 PM and is sponsored by First Coast Magazine.

Participants will race through shimmering neon trees, rainbow-laser tunnels, colored pathways, and flashing lights all put to electronic dance music, which spans the entire route. This 5K will feature 8 different glowing course lands including a spectacular finish though a massive illuminated castle. The finish line will have DJ sets featuring lasers, fog machines, and more dance music at the main stage. As a participant, you will receive glowing glasses, batons, and necklaces.
