What do lions look like?It is a well known fact that lions have sharp claws. Zoologists say this is important because it helps them catch and kill their prey. Also, Lions have very good eye sight so that they can see their prey from far away. In addition, the male lion has a mane so that he looks ferocious.What do they eat?Lions are carnivores. This means they eat meat. In particular, they eat zebras, antelopes, giraffes, mice, birds and lizards. Experts say that female lions do the hunting. They use their claws to catch their prey and their sharp teeth to kill it. Did you know?

Friday: Know Its!Log on to Times Tables Rockstars and practise your times tables. Get an adult to test you on you 2, 5 and 10 times tables. Can you answer them out of order? How quickly can you answer them?

Story time Read to your child for at least 20 mins a day. Ask your child if they would recommend the

Tuesday – Stand up tall like a meerkat on your tip toes for 30 seconds. Repeat this 5 times. - Curl into a small ball just like a meerkat might if it saw a hungry jackal. Then stand up

again. Repeat this 10 timesWednesday – How many star jumps can you do in 1 minute? Set yourself a timer and try to beat your score.

Thursday – Go for a walk, cycle or jog around the park. Friday - Sprint for 15 seconds and rest for 15 seconds. Repeat this 10 times.

Art/ DT Paint or draw a picture of some of the animals we

saw at Paradise Wildlife Park. Use their website to look closely at the animals.

Humanities Use the internet to find and draw some animals

that come from Europe.What countries do they live in? Can you find the countries on a world map?
