The films were screened for the first time at the “Independent Ideas” headquarters in Milan during a special event attended by international journalists, opinion leaders and FIAT’s Director of Brand Promotion (and grandson of FIAT founder Gianni Agnelli) Lapo Elkann. Attendees watched the movies in a special FIAT 500 by Gucci drive-in while comfortably seated in the new FIAT 500C by Gucci. The Films: “Papillon Polaroid” by Olivier Zahm, Editor in Chief of French fashion and culture magazine, “Purple”. Zahm is also a photographer and an art curator who has selected exhibitions for MoMA and Centre Pompidou, amongst others. “The Race” by Will Davidson, a New York based photographer and director who works principally in fashion but also uses his creative talents in advertising, fine art and contemporary dance. “Assembly line” by Chris Sweeney, a London-based director known for stylish and visually inventive filmmaking, particularly in the fashion and music genres. “Reverse to Perfection” by Francesco Carrozzini, photographer and director whose work has featured in icon publications such as Vogue, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar. The Films:

“Divergence” by Alexi Tan is a “new generation” Chinese director whose movies have featured in some of the most important global film festivals in including The Venice International Film Festival.

Note to Editors:Unveiled in February 2011 the special edition FIAT 500 by Gucci is a collaboration between Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini and FIAT’s Centro Stile in Turin.
