Task 1 – Look at this list of school subjects. Can you guess what they are? Draw a picture in the box to represent each one. TIP! If there are any that you are unsure of, look at the vocabulary list at the BACK of the booklet

Task 2 – think about how you will learn the words and their spelling. Spend about 15 minutes over 2 or 3 days learning them. Tick or shade in the boxes to say which methods you have tried.

Task 5 – Write out your timetable in Spanish. Use the blank one below. You can colour code it just like a lot of you have done with your real timetable. Use either week 1 or week 2.

An ‘n’ is added because ‘matemáticas’ is plural (more than one)

Task 9 – read the explanation and then do the task – circle the correct phrase according to whether it is singular (with el or la in front) or plural (with los or las in front) Go back to task 1 to check singulars and plurals.

Task 10 – Write five sentences about the subjects you like/dislike following the model in the previous task. Don’t forget the ‘el/la’ ‘los/las’ in front of the name of the subject!

Task 15 – you might have noticed that the ending of the adjective changes according to whether the subject is singular or plural and sometimes you use ‘es’ (it is) and sometimes it is ‘son’ (they are)
