Actions/Information

5.1 LL introduced Stefan Price from ‘Shout it out Sefton’(SIOS). Stefan explained to ECM members what SIOS is. Shout It Out offers young people in Sefton a voice in decision making. The project acts as a hub for a range of existing decision making forums that involve young people to co-ordinate and cascade important issues between all the youth voice groups in Sefton. It is an independent forum and we ensure that the members are able to campaign on issues of concern to them. ‘SIOS’ aim is to bring people together and give the younger people a voice to be heard. Shout It Out Sefton provides a youth-led and active forum that allows young people to share their views with politicians and decision makers. If you can think of any young people that may be interested, the age range for SIOS is 13 – 19yrs old, up to 25yrs old with disabilities.

LC went through all the votes that they had received in previous years and this year. Their target is to double what they had received last year. Laura announced to members that they need all the support they can to be able to get a place in the House of Commons and be able to speak for Sefton young people.
