Dear [Insert name: ex -Mayor Castor], For nearly 40 years, Feeding Tampa Bay has served as the backbone of hunger relief across 10 counties in West Central Florida, connecting food-insecure individuals and families with access to vital meals. Last year alone, we served more than 66 million meals through direct distribution programs and partnerships with more than 478 local charities. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic surged the need across Tampa Bay – at times up to 400% – but Feeding Tampa Bay did not waver.

Overnight, the demand for the most basic human right – access to food – overtook our community like a tsunami. And Feeding Tampa Bay did what no other organization could do…we completely transformed and accelerated their model to meet this critical need. Our swift and massive-scale response was fueled by the generous support of donors, the bravery of volunteers and collaboration of countless partners – proving that when we stand together, no circumstance can or will stop us from ending hunger.As a Feeding Tampa Bay board member, I am personally sharing with you a special shirt that signifies the power of “Standing Together.” Our community looks to community [and/or business] leaders like you for guidance on the issues impacting their lives.
