Fresh Faces Event Planning:

Introduction

Pink Slip is excited to host our second annual Fresh Faces event on Sunday August 7th from 9am to 1pm at the Paul Mitchell School in Tinley Park, IL.

Throughout the day, Pink Slip will host 150 models, 75 service providers, vendors and parents for an all-inclusive day of shopping, beauty, and pictures.

Our models will have their hair and makeup completed by a beauty professional, be outfitted by Pink Slip or Parker James, and have their pictures taken by local photographers.

After modeling, girls will have the opportunity to take pictures with other models and friends at our “Selfie Wall.” The hairstylists, makeup artists, and photographers will be credited through Pink Slip’s social media. Parents and friends are welcome to come shop local vendors and visit with their daughters or friends while they are made up in their final looks.

Outside of the Paul Mitchell School, tents will be set up with tables of local vendors will have the opportunity to sell merchandise and promote their business. Parents who staying while their children are dropped off can leisurely shop the vendors or relax in our lounge area.

Food: -

Food will be served in the back of Paul Mitchell school with one person monitoring and assisting any needs, no eating in dresses.

Water bottles for 240 people, Chips for 240 people and 20 boxes of arrayed Dunkin Donuts.

Plates and Napkins will be provided at the table.

Gift Bags:

Gift bags and t-shirts will be given out at the front tables of registration. Disclaimers regarding social media will be placed in the bag. Discounts from vendors will be included as well.

Signs:

In total there should be 15 signs.

· 4 Signs outside directing parking

· 1 sign at entrance for models to enter the school

· 1 sign for girls to wait in line directing to hair and makeup

· 1 sign at the hallway directing models to dressing rooms and that parents cannot enter past this point

· 1 sign directing to the bathrooms

· 1 sign at each dressing room 2 in total

· 1 sign at the room where the photos will be taken

· 1 sign directing to selfie station

· 1 sign at the selfie station

· 1 sign at the final dressing room

· 1 sign at the entrance stating that girls absolutely cannot leave in their dresses

Timeline of Events:

Week of June 26th: Send information to models

July 1st: Models should receive all needed information

July 10th: Have all Vendors and Information

Week of July 11th: Order Tents, Tables and Platform

Weeks of July 18th and 25th: Get decorations for Backdrops

· Post on Facebook of past employees and interns to help volunteer

· Order T-Shirts, Gift Bags, Plates and Napkins, Ribbons (week of July 18th)

August 6th:

· Have tents set up for vendors in the parking lot if possible. The morning of so that parking is still accessible or after 2pm, Danielle can rope off parking lot. After 5PM if not.

· Set up backdrops with decorations, tables within the school, signs, images of hair and makeup at each station.

· Set up tables

· Organize dresses in dressing rooms

· Signs directing models and volunteers

· Set up registration table

August 7th Day of event:

6:30-7:00am -

7:30am- Earliest vendor can arrive for set up

7:30-9:00am-

· Hairstylist and makeup artist arrive for set up

· Set out waters and any snacks

9:00am- Event starts and models start arriving

25 min for each hair and makeup, then switch

10:00am- Pizzas arrive

1:00pm- event ends, vendors pack up

· tables and tents taken down

· Clean up backdrops, decorations

· Return dresses to Pink Slip

Lists of Tasks:

(1)  Person walking around the vendor/ tent area to assist any needs of vendors or attendees.

(2) People at registration tables having model's sign in.

(2) People at the social media sign in table and give t-shirts and gift bags to.

(3) People getting girls to and from makeup & hair.

(1) Person standing in hallway to dressing rooms to make sure parents do not enter and direct models into which room they should enter.

(6) 3 Sales associates in both (2) dressing rooms getting girls changed.

(1) Person in the photo room assisting and directing the girls out

(1) Person at the selfie station in the shampoo room assisting with photos and directing girls back to the dressing room.

(1) Person at the food table in the back assisting anyone eating and reminding models they cannot eat in their dresses.

(2) People assisting girls in the last dressing room and getting dresses back to the first dressing rooms.

· Anna, Mary and Alex:

· Anna: Floating around hair and makeup to oversee any problems/concerns in that general area.

· Mary: In the photograph room, getting models from the dressing rooms, assisting the photographers and directing the models out.

· Alex: registration tables to get models signed in and to oversee any problems in that general area.

· Kellie, Emily and Alli:

· Kellie: registration table with Alex signing models in.

· Emily: Directing girls to and from hair and makeup

· Alli: selfie station assisting with photos and directing girls back to the final dressing rooms.

Sales Associates:

· Sales associates will be split into 2 dressing rooms helping girls change into their dresses, 3 in each dressing room. Only 3 models can get changed at a time.

· 2 sales associates will need to be in the last dressing room to help girls change out of their dresses and get the dresses back to the first 2 changing rooms.

· 1 sales associate will need to be at each table for Pink Slip and Parker James.

Volunteers

· Other necessary hands will be reached out of the past employees and interns of Pink Slip on the facebook page 2-3 weeks prior to the event.

Volunteer Uniform:

· Anyone volunteering for this event should be wearing the Pretty in Pink Slip t-shirt with dark jeans and any type of comfortable footwear (converse, vans, sandals, etc.). Hair and makeup should be clean and simple.
