Job Description Job Title: Part-time Finance Lead Hours: 17.5 hours Salary Scale: FTE £20,593. (Pro rata-17.5hr £10,296) Contract: To 31 st March 2020 Line Manager: Chief Officer Job Role: To take responsibility for the processing and payment of all invoices and producing charity management accounts, on a monthly basis to ensure the smooth running of the financial responsibilities of the charity. (We are currently using SAGE50 version 2016). Key Tasks: Working in partnership with the Senior management team (SMT), Financial Administrator (FA) and Market Place lead (MPL)to: 1. Upkeep of Financial management systems SMT: Set up organisational budgets using SAGE - annually Preparation of annual forecasts Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statement and balance sheet. Monitor the bank accounts via Internet Banking Maintain current reporting system, updating and amending as requested by SMT and Finance Working Group Check accuracy, Submit monthly payroll and PAYE updates to SCVO payroll Process final payroll output into finance system, ensuring that net wages, PAYE and pension contributions reconcile to payroll records

Support relevant staff to maintain and manage petty cash procedure Carry out monthly checks on petty cash procedures to ensure accurate

recordings are madeMPL: Support MPL to create adequate financial systems to track income and

expenditure through the online till system and stock control process Undertake weekly checks on Income and Expenditure process for The Market

Place Assist staff in extracting relevant financial reporting information for funders

as required2. Statutory Financial Reporting for Audit, in line with SORP Regulations

Preparation of the annual audit file and associated paperwork Produce year end reports as required by the auditor Reconcile all accounts Run trial balance

3. Occasional Tasks Undertake other duties which may be required and which are commensurate

with the post Assist with the financial aspects of grant applications

Person Specification - Finance Officer

Essential Desirable1. Career Experience A minimum of 2 years finance experience A knowledge of charity accounts

A knowledge and understanding of the charity/third sector

2. Specialist Knowledge/Experience Good knowledge of SAGE

Good working knowledge of Word and Excel

Ability to produce management accounts from SAGE and on Excel

Good working knowledge of all aspects of PAYE

3. Skills/Aptitudes/Potential High level of numeracy skills Good organisational skills and ability to manage time Good communication skills – verbal and written High level of relevant PC skills Flexible approach with an ability to meet deadlines Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision Self-motivated and enthusiastic A good team player and willing to work cooperatively in a

small administration team
