Statement of Purpose and Terms of Reference
Valley Wellbeing Network
These are the Terms of Reference for the Valley Wellbeing Network (formerly the Calder and Luddendenfoot Community Network) serviced by Staying Well.
Purpose of the group
An open group for those that provide and support activities in the community to enable peer support and cooperative working.
To share relevant community information and assist the co-ordination of activity which aims to address loneliness and isolation and support wellbeing for people of all ages, culture and background, within the Calder and Luddendenfoot Wards.
To support the decision making about priorities for any micro-commissioning funding administered via Staying Well to develop local solutions to address loneliness and isolation and build community capacity through strengthening existing local provision.
Term
These terms of references will be effective from the date they are agreed by the group and can be reviewed at any time. The Terms of Reference were agreed at the Network meeting on 21 February 2019.
Membership of the group
Self-nomination and invitations by members to other individuals supporting the aims of the group or representing community groups and activity providers. Membership of the group is encouraged to ensure a good mix of people who live, work or volunteer in the local area.
Structure of group
Staying Well will support the administration of the group and host meetings and networking events. There are no formal officer roles, however the nominal chair and secretary role will be undertaken by Helen Doodson and Graham Mynott.
Hebden Bridge Community Association (as the accountable organisation for the funds being distributed) will support the group in administering and minuting meetings.

All members of the group are allowed to vote on any related issues and members must declare any interests before any vote is taken.

Valley Wellbeing Network
Frequency of meetings will be quarterly, with occasional ad hoc events throughout the year.
Members will be notified of meetings by email a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the date unless there are extraordinary circumstances requiring a meeting in less time.
Accountability
The Staying Well delivery partners led by North Halifax Partnership along with Halifax Opportunities Partnership and Hebden Bridge Community Association are responsible for the network and the micro-commissioning services. Hebden Bridge Community Association (HBCA) are responsible for the 4 Upper Valley wards: Todmorden, Calder, Luddendenfoot and Ryburn.Accordingly this group is accountable to Hebden Bridge Community Association in its role of Staying Well management across the Upper Valley.
Reporting
The group will report progress back via Staying Well monitoring mechanisms and / or circulate information via email using the current Network mailing list operated by Staying Well.
