Notice Inviting Tender

Sealed tender are invited for cleaning of verandah, latrines, sewage lines, roads etc. of inside and outside of hostels of the campus will be received by the office of the undersigned up to 17.08. 2013 at 2.30 PM in presence of those tenderers who may like to be present at that time.

1. Blank tender forms can be obtained from this office by cash depositing Rs. 300.00 (Rs. Three hundred only) per set on working days only.

2. Each tender must be accompanied with the security money of Rs. 75,000.00 (Rs. Seventy five thousand only) which can be deposited in the form of Demand Draft, Deposit Receipt a Scheduled Bank of India or P.O. Saving Bank Pass Book duly pledged to Comptroller, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. Tender not accompanied with the due security money, at the time of opening will be treated as invalid and will be rejected, without even reading out rates of such tender.

3. The tender shall remain open for acceptance for three months from the date of opening.4. Conditional tenders will not be considered. No insertions in the tender form shall be accepted.5. The contractors tendering for the work should be borne on approved list of contractors of reputed Institutions/PWD/MES

or Railway and should submit along with his tender, a list of work done by them during last three years indicating the amount and nature of work and time of completion of each case.

6. The rates should be quoted both in words and figures. In case of difference the lower rate shall be considered as final.7. Overwriting is not permissible. All cancellations and insertions should be signed by the tenderers. 8. The University reserves the right to reject any or all tenders or to accept any part of any tenders, without assigning any

reason or giving explanation.9. Unless the persons whose tender is accepted execute the agreement within 10 days after he is required to do so, the

security money deposited by him may be forfeited and the acceptance of his tender withdrawn.10. In case of a firm, tender must be signed by each partner or the person holding the power of attorney on behalf of the firm.

In the later case a copy or Power of Attorney duly attested by a Magistrate or a Judge must accompany the tender, Trade Tax, Excise duty and any other taxes on material, labour in respect of his contract shall be payable by the contractor and University will not entertain any claim whatsoever in this respect, due to any reason.

11. The tenderers are advised to see the site of the work and they will be deemed to have familiar with the scope of the work, local conditions of the contract etc. before submitting their tender.

12. All rates shall be quoted on the blank form of the tender supplied by the University. Tender with rates quoted on private papers are liable to be rejected. Complete tender form shall be submitted. No page should be removed.

13. The notice inviting tenders shall form part of the contracts.14. On acceptance of this tender, the name of the accredited representative of the contractor, who would be responsible for

taking instruction from the Dean Students’ Welfare, shall be communicated to the officer calling for the tenders.15. The work can be subdivided amongst tenders. The rate of every item will be quoted independent of other items.16. No condition whatsoever shall be accepted which is contrary to the conditions, clauses and specifications mentioned

above or any where in this tender form. Any condition written by the contractor or any cutting, additions, alterations or insertions made by him any where in the tender form, shall be taken as null and void.

CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT

1. The contract is subjected to Kanpur Jurisdiction only.2. The contractor must take into consideration all fluctuations in the rate of the labour and material during carryout of

the work for any reason whatsoever. No claim whatsoever on this account or due to increase in the taxes of excise duty shall be entertained.

3. All the materials arranged by the contractor shall be subject to the approval of the Dean Students Welfare, and rejected materials if any will have to be removed by the contractor within two days form the site of the work otherwise a penalty of Rs. 50.00 per day will be imposed on him till the materials in question is removed.

4. Labour employed for the said work will not be entitled for regular appointment in the University.5. The contractor will be responsible for cleaning of verandah, latrines, sewage lines, roads etc. inside and outside

the hostels of the campus.6. University has right to forfeit the contract at any time without assigning any reason thereof.7. All materials for cleaning of verandah, latrines, roads, sewage lines, roads etc. of inside and outside the hostels of

the campus will be arranged by the contractor.8. The Contractor will be responsible for any damage in site during the execution of the work.9. The payment will be done after satisfactory report produced by the respective wardens of the hostel.10. In case of the unsatisfactory report the penalty will be imposed on the contractor.11. The contractor will be responsible to follow the labour laws of the Government. 12. In case of any dispute between the Contractor and Dean Student Welfare the decision of the Vice-Chancellor will

be treated final.13. The contractor should enclose the Permanent Account Number (PAN) issued by Income Tax Department.14. The contractor should enclose the certificate about work done amounting to Rs. 5,00,000.00 by him during last 5

years in the reputed institutions/Govt. Departments.15. The contractor should enclose the Registration Certificate (PF/ESI).16. The contractor should enclose the affidavit that he has never been blacklisted during the work done in

institutions/government departments.17. The contractor will also be responsible for cutting of grass and weedicides etc. of the hostel campus.18. Contractor will employ only female workers in girl’s hostels campus of the university. 19. envelopes. Original and Duplicate words must be inscribed on the right hand side of the envelope.
